A display device and a driving method thereof are provided. The display device includes a display panel that includes a first display area in which a plurality of first pixels are disposed and a second display area in which a plurality of second pixels are disposed; and at least one sensor overlapping the second display area and not overlapping the first display area of the display panel, wherein the plurality of first pixels and the plurality of second pixels are connected to a scan line providing a scan signal and a data line providing a data signal, and wherein the plurality of first pixels are not connected to a sensing control line providing a sensing control signal that senses an anode voltage of a light emitting element.

Display device and operating method therefor

A display device includes: a substrate including a display area having a plurality of pixel areas and a non-display area surrounding at least one side of the display area; a light-blocking layer disposed on a first surface of the substrate and including light transmissive areas to allow incident light to pass therethrough; a circuit-element layer disposed on the light-blocking layer and including a plurality of conductive layers; a light-emitting element layer disposed on the circuit-element layer and including light-emitting elements; and a sensor layer disposed on a second surface of the substrate opposing the first surface to sense the light passing through the light transmissive areas. The light-blocking layer is electrically coupled to at least one of the plurality of conductive layers.

Provided is a display device including a substrate including a fingerprint area. The fingerprint area includes a first area and a second area. A light-emitting element layer is disposed on the substrate. The light-emitting element layer includes light-emitting elements. A sensor layer is disposed on the substrate, the sensor layer including photosensors. The light-emitting elements include a first light-emitting element arranged in the first area and a second light-emitting element arranged in the second area. During a fingerprint sensing period, the first light-emitting element emits light and the second light-emitting element does not emit light.

A display device includes: a display panel including a plurality of pixels; and a driving controller configured to: generate a data signal corresponding to an input image data; generate a data voltage based on the data signal; and output the data voltage to the pixels, wherein the driving controller is configured to output the data signal in at least one driving frequency higher than a predetermined low frequency during an image transition period in a low frequency driving mode during which the data signal outputs in the low frequency.

Display device and driving method of the same

A data driver includes a multi-channel sample/hold circuit electrically connected between a digital-to-analog converter and a data buffer. The multi-channel sample/hold circuit includes a first sample/hold circuit connected to a first channel and a second sample/hold circuit connected to a second channel. The first sample/hold circuit performs a first drive operation and a second drive operation. The first drive operation includes sampling a data voltage as a buffer input voltage and maintaining the buffer input voltage during an nhorizontal time. The second drive operation includes outputting the buffer input voltage to an output terminal of the buffer during an (n+1)horizontal time. The second sample/hold circuit performs the second drive operation during the nhorizontal time and performs the first drive operation during the (n+1)horizontal time.

A display device includes: a base substrate including a touch area and a non-touch area adjacent to the touch area and including a first area and a second area; a touch electrode disposed in the touch area and including a lattice pattern; an antenna electrode disposed in the first area and including a lattice pattern; a first dummy pattern disposed in the first area; and a second dummy pattern disposed in the second area, wherein the second area is disposed between the first area and the touch area, and the lattice pattern of the touch electrode includes openings that are larger than openings of the lattice pattern of the antenna electrode.

At least one of the pixels includes a light emitting element, a first transistor connected between a first power source and the light emitting element for driving the light emitting element according to a voltage of a first node, a second transistor connected between the first node and a corresponding data line, and driven according to a voltage of a corresponding first gate line, a capacitor connected between the first node and a second node between the first transistor and the light emitting element, a third transistor between the second node and an initialization power line, and driven according to a voltage of a corresponding second gate line, and a fourth transistor connected between the first and second nodes, and driven according to a voltage of a corresponding third gate line.
