Disclosed is an electronic device including a touchscreen display, and at least one processor configured to display, on the touchscreen display, an execution screen of a first application, in response to an occurrence of an incoming call, display a first notification indicating the occurrence of the incoming call, the first notification overlapping a part of the execution screen of the first application, receive a first user input with respect to the first notification, in response to the reception of the first user input, display a second notification replacing the first notification, wherein the second notification has a size less than a size of the first notification, receive a second user input with respect to the second notification, and in response to the reception of the second user input, display a screen indicating the occurrence of the incoming call, the screen indicating the occurrence of the incoming call being configured to receive a user input corresponding to the incoming call.

Electronic device and method for controlling screen

Electronic device including touchscreen display, and at least one processor, wherein at least one processor is configured to display, on touchscreen display, first execution screen of first application, in response to occurrence of incoming call, display notification of first type indicating occurrence of incoming call on first execution screen of first application, receive first user input with respect to notification of the first type, in response to the reception of the first user input, display an execution screen of a call application for receiving a user input corresponding to the incoming call, receive a second user input while the execution screen of the call application is displayed, in response to the reception of the second user input, display a notification of a second type indicating the occurrence of the incoming call, wherein the notification of the second type is not overlapped with a second execution screen of a second application.

An electronic device is provided. An electronic device and a method for controlling a screen are provided. The method for controlling the screen includes displaying an executed application on the screen; detecting reception of an event; and displaying a popup window comprising at least one piece of information corresponding to the received event on the displayed application.
