A polycarbonate resin includes a repeat unit represented by Formula 1; a repeat unit represented by Formula 2; and a repeat unit represented by Formula 3, wherein the polycarbonate resin has a weight average molecular weight of about 15,000 g/mol to about 60,000 g/mol and a melt index of about 3 g/10 min to about 40 g/10 min.:  wherein R, R, R, R, a, b, c, and d are the same as defined in the specification. The polycarbonate resin for film can exhibit excellent scratch resistance, elongation, chemical resistance and heat resistance, and can be used to prepare a film in roll form without any protective film.

The method includes preparing a low degree condensate; and solid phase polymerizing the low degree condensate, wherein a granular molded article is introduced into the solid phase polymerization. Disclosed herein is a scratch-resistant flameproof thermoplastic resin composition, the resin composition comprising a base resin including (A) about 50 to about 90% by weight of a polycarbonate resin; (B) about 1 to about 50% by weight of a methacrylic copolymer resin with a refractive index of about 1.495 to about 1.590; and (C) about 0 to about 49% by weight of a (meth)acrylic resin, and (D) about 5 to about 40 parts by weight of a flame retardant, based on about 100 parts by weight of the base resin comprising (A)+(B)+(C). The resin composition of the present invention can have good flame retardancy, scratch resistance, colorability, and good appearance due to its improved compatibility. The resin composition of the invention can be used to produce plastic molded articles which can exhibit better physical properties than products produced using conventional resin compositions.

Disclosed are a polycarbonate resin composition and a molded product formed of the same. The polycarbonate resin composition includes a polycarbonate resin and three types of UV stabilizers including a first benzotriazole UV stabilizer, a second benzotriazole UV stabilizer, and a bismalonate UV stabilizer to improve heat stability, weather resistance, and visible light transmittance.

Disclosed herein is a flameproof thermoplastic resin composition comprising (A) about 5 to about 40 parts by weight of a rubber modified aromatic vinyl copolymer resin; (B) about 30 to about 90 parts by weight of a polycarbonate resin; (C) about 30 to about 90 parts by weight of a polyester resin comprising (c1) about 0.01 to about 99% by weight of a semi-crystalline polyester resin and (c2) about 1 to about 99.99% by weight of a noncrystalline polyester resin; and (D) about 5 to about 30 parts by weight of an aromatic phosphate ester compound, per 100 parts by weight of a base resin comprising (A), (B) and (C).
