A switching device configurable as a grounding device, a disconnecting device, and a combined disconnecting/grounding device is disclosed. The switching device includes an encapsulating housing, a stationary grounding contact fixed to the housing, a stationary disconnector contact fixed to a first conductor, and a moveable contact that is movable along an axis and engagable with the grounding contact and the disconnector contact. A conductor tube is fixed to a second conductor and accommodates the moveable contact. A drive for driving the moveable contact has a retaining element that is movable along the axis and is guided in the conductor tube. The retaining element accommodates two contact tubes. A first contact tube forms a mating contact of a grounding device containing the stationary grounding contact. A second contact tube forms a mating contact of a disconnector containing the disconnector contact.

Switching device with a disconnection and/or grounding function

The high-voltage switching device used in one installation position and has metallic encapsulation () a switching gap () and a particle trap () for holding foreign body particles (), and is characterized in that in the one installation position, the particle trap () is arranged vertically underneath the switching gap (), in the one installation position, an isolator part () is provided, which has a surface () aligned essentially horizontally and faces the interior of the high-voltage switching device, with a metallic wall (), which is higher than the particle trap (), being arranged between the isolator part () and the particle trap (). The particle trap () has a viewing window (). If the high-voltage switching device is a disconnector, this viewing window () may be identical to the viewing window () for visual access to the visible disconnecting gap () of the disconnector. The high-voltage switching device is used particularly advantageously in a second installation position and has a second particle trap, with the second particle trap arranged vertically underneath the switching gap () in the second installation position. This results in the high-voltage switching device having good operational reliability and a low susceptibility to defects.

A compact earthing switch (') is provided by a mounting lid () of the gas-insulated switchgear assembly () having a concave physical volume () which extends the gas chamber () and by the earthing switch fixed contact () being mounted on an inner side () of the mounting lid () and being arranged at least partially in the physical volume () of the mounting lid (). Exemplary embodiments relate, inter alia, to: an essentially cylindrical mounting lid (); an earthing switch fixed contact () having a physical length (L) which is smaller than an axial physical depth (T) of the physical volume (); and a large diameter (D) of the mounting lid () for simplified mounting and maintenance of active parts) in the switchgear assembly (). Advantages include: the compact design for the grounding device the ability of the earthing switch fixed contact () to be ready-mounted on the mounting lid (); and the integration of the earthing switch fixed contact (), which is integrated in the mounting lid (), in a combined disconnector/earthing switch (&#x2032;).
