In one embodiment, a method may include outputting one or more sensor signals from an electronic device into a portion of a user's body, and detecting one or more deflected signals from the one or more sensor signals. The method may include detecting a bone structure of the user's body based on the one or more deflected signals. Then, the method may include determining a user measurement based on the one or more deflected signals, the health measurement being adjusted by the detected bone structure.

In one embodiment, a method includes transmitting, from a first transducer of an electronic device, a first audio signal to a surface near the electronic device. The first audio signal is generated based on a frequency sweep across a range of frequencies. The method also includes receiving, at a second transducer of the electronic device, a second audio signal that is at least partly reflected off the surface. The method then determines an attribute of the surface based on the received second audio signal.

Using ultrasound to detect an environment of an electronic device

In one embodiment, an apparatus includes an electrode that is coupled to a body of a user and is configured to receive a signal from the body. The received signal is based on an electromagnetic interference signal generated by an object that is external to the apparatus. The apparatus further includes one or more processors coupled to the electrode. The processors are configured to detect, based on the signal received by the electrode, one or more of: an interaction between the user and the object, an identity of the object, or a context surrounding the apparatus.

In one embodiment, an electronic device may include a light source configured to emit light that penetrates into a portion of a user's body, a plurality of light sensors configured to detect a pattern of diffusion of the emitted light, and a controller configured to detect a gesture made by the user based on the detected pattern of diffusion of the emitted light. The controller may be configured to control the light source and the plurality of light sensors to detect the gesture made by the user.

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, by an electrode of a device, a signal from a user's body. The received signal is based on an electromagnetic interference signal generated by an object that is external to the device. The method further includes determining, using machine learning applied to the received signal, one or more of the following: an identity of the object, an interaction between the user and the object, or a context surrounding the device.

Processing electromagnetic interference signal using machine learning

In one embodiment, a method includes accessing a first context data associated with a first touch event on a first device and accessing a second context data associated with a touch event on the first device. The touch event has been detected by a second device. The method further includes comparing the first context data with the second context data and determining, based on the comparison, whether the first touch event is the touch event detected by the second device.
