The invention relates to a metallocene complex according to formula (I), (I) wherein Rand Rare independently selected from H, an alkyl or an aryl group, wherein Ris a C1-C10 alkyl group, wherein R' is selected from H, an alkyl group, an aryl group and wherein different R&#x2032; substituents can be connected to form a ring structure and wherein B is a 1,2 phenylene bridging moiety, which can be optionally substituted, wherein Mt is selected from Ti, Zr and Hf, X is an anionic ligand, z is the number of X groups and equals the valence of Mt minus 2. The invention also relates to a catalyst comprising the reaction product of the metallocene complex and a cocatalyst. Further the invention relates to a (co)polymerisation process of olefinic monomers.

1,2-phenylene bridged 1-indenyl-2-indenyl metallocene complexes for olefin polymerisation

The invention relates to a metallocene complex according to formula A, wherein R1-R10 are independently selected from H, C1-C10 alkyl, C7-C20 Aralkyl groups, and C1-C10 alkoxy groups; wherein R11 is selected from methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, butyl, phenyl; wherein R1 and R2, R3 and R4, R4 and R5, R5 and R6, R7 and R8, R8 and R9, and/or R9 and R10 can be connected to form a ringstructure; wherein R0 is selected from a C1-C10 alkyl group or an aryl group wherein M is selected from Ti, Zr and Hf, X is an anionic ligand to M, z is the number of X groups and equals the valence of M minus 2. The invention relates to a metallocene complex according to formula I or II wherein M is a metal selected from lanthanides or transition metals from group 3, 4, 5 or 6 of the Periodic System of the Elements, Q is an anionic ligand to M, k is the number of Q groups and equals the valence of M minus 2, R is a divalent bridging group, R, R, Rand R4 are each independently chosen from the group consisting of hydrogen (H); a halogen atom; a silyl, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkylaryl or arylalkyl group; and R, R, Rand Rare each independently chosen from the group consisting of hydrogen (H); a halogen atom; a silyl, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkylaryl or arylalkyl group; or two adjacent radicals Rand R, Rand R, and Rand Rare connected with each other in a hydrocarbon ring system. Disclosed are novel hafnium-based metallocene catalyst compounds with the following characteristics: 1) 4,5-dialkyl substitutions on a fluorenyl ligand, and optionally additional substitutions, 2) a cyclopentadienyl ligand, optionally with substitutions, and 3) a bridging group from group 14 of the Periodic Table. Also disclosed are catalyst systems comprising such catalyst compounds and their uses thereof, and polymers produced using such catalyst systems.
