The present invention relates to an organic light emitting display device that changes a reference voltage commonly applied to a driving transistor in all pixels, based on a characteristic value sensed according to each pixel.

An organic light emitting display device that mitigates a connection restriction between a timing controller and a memory is disclosed. The organic light emitting display device comprises a display panel on which organic light emitting diodes and driving transistors that drive the organic light emitting diodes are arranged; a data driver that generates sensing data based on respective threshold voltages of the driving transistors and respective degradation levels of the organic light emitting diodes; a timing controller that generates compensation data, which may be used to perform external compensation and blur compensation, based on the sensing data and outputs the compensation data; a bridge circuit that receives the compensation data from the timing controller; and a memory that receives the compensation data from the bridge circuit. The bridge circuit and the memory are packaged in a source printed circuit board. The bridge circuit receives a clock generated within the timing controller, a command input from an external host system, and the compensation data in a differential signal mode.

An organic light emitting display device includes a display panel having a plurality of sub-pixels; a memory configured to accumulate and store data displayed by each sub-pixel; and a panel driver configured to: calculate a degradation compensation gain value for increasing or decreasing a luminance of each sub-pixel based on accumulated data of each sub-pixel stored in the memory, generate modulated data of each sub-pixel by modulating input data to each sub-pixel according to the calculated degradation compensation gain value, convert the modulated data into a data voltage, and accumulate the modulated data from the accumulated data of the corresponding sub-pixel and then store the data in the memory.

The organic light emitting display device includes a display panel arranged to include a plurality of unit pixels having red, green, blue, and white sub-pixels, a four-color data converter configured to convert input data of red, green, and blue of each unit pixel into data of red, green, blue, and white respectively corresponding to the red, green, blue, and white sub-pixels, and a panel driver configured to accumulate data of each of the sub-pixels at every accumulation period, store the accumulated data in a memory, decide a color correction mode for correcting a color of each unit pixel on the basis of the accumulated data of the white sub-pixel stored in the memory, drive the white sub-pixel of each unit pixel according to the decided color correction mode, and selectively drive the red, green, and blue sub-pixels.

Disclosed is an organic light emitting display device that displays images with uniform luminance by compensating degradation of organic light emitting diode, and a method for driving the same. The device comprises a display panel with sub-pixels, each sub-pixel having an organic light emitting diode for emitting light; a memory which stores accumulated data of each sub-pixel; and a panel driver which calculates an individual compensation gain value for each sub-pixel and a global compensation gain value for all the sub-pixels in common based on the accumulated data of sub-pixel, modulates input data for each sub-pixel through the individual compensation gain value and global compensation gain value, converts the modulated data into a data voltage, and accumulates the modulated data on the accumulated data of the corresponding sub-pixel and stores the obtained data in the memory.
