The invention relates to a drive device for pivoting a viewfinder mirror (1) in a single-lens reflex camera between its finding and its taking positions. An improvement in this drive is characterized according to the invention by a separate electrical drive (4, 5, 13), which, mechanically decoupled, can be controlled directly through an external interface (12).

In a roll film camera, using a cartridge, an alternately actuatable slider-locking and cartridge-latching mechanism, a film-gate adjustment device for releasably pressing against a film gate, and a coupling mechanism operative for activating, and, respectively, inactivating the camera feeding mechanism, are operatively connected to a common mode-changing control operable from the cartridge exterior.

In a roll film camera defining a film track, and having a film-advance distance, provision is made for any bend in the film due to the rerouting thereof over a film rerouting roll, to be rendered harmless by disposing the film rerouting roll at a predetermined distance along the film track from a film inlet edge of a film gate of the camera; the predetermined distance is about equal to the film-advance distance, plus one half the difference between the spacing of the film inlet and outlet edges of the film gate.

Two sets of lamellas are moved across the image aperture in a photographic cameras, whereby the lamellas of each set move in different but parallel planes. Each lamella is coupled to a crank pin and the pins are, on the one hand, guided for movement in parallel paths to move the lamellas of the set colinearly across the aperture while, on the other hand, the crank pins are being moved by a pivoting, slotted lever in which the pins glide. Guiding of the pins may include use of slide tracks or of linear ball bearings for guide elements carrying the pins.
