A method of producing a composite material, in particular for sintered slide bearings and slide bearings. Composite materials for sintered slide bearings consist of at least one ceramic sintered material and at least one metallic sintered material and have a short service life during operation at low speeds of the shaft and in the case of a simultaneously high radial load because the lubricant stored in the bearing cracks. The novel sintered bearing is to have a long service life under such operating conditions. In the novel bearing use is made of ceramic sintered materials which have a high thermal conductivity, e.g. boron nitride. The novel composite material and the novel slide bearing are particularly suited for electric miniature motors comprising a ceramic shaft.

The present invention refers to a planetary gearing comprising a planet carrier which is adapted to be rotated about an axis of rotation, a sun gear, at least one planetary gear, and a ring gear, at least one axle end projecting beyond one end face of said planet carrier and said planetary gear being rotatably supported on said axle end by means of its axle-reception opening. Especially in small-size planetary gearings making use of sintered components, the service life is to be improved. For this purpose, it is suggested that the planetary gear should be constructed such that it is at least radially displaceable with regard to the axis of rotation of the said planet carrier.

A variable dashpot for motor vehicles A cylinder (2) full of vibration-suppressing fluid accommodates a piston (3). The piston is provided with vibration-suppressing valves, is fastened to a piston rod (8), and separates the cylinder into two compartments. The compartments communicate through a bypass. The cross-section of the bypass can be adjusted with a component (11) comprising a stator (12) with windings (13) and an electric motor (10) with a rotor (17). The improvement comprises making it possible to continuously and highly dynamically vary the cross-section of the bypass in a dashpot of the same size. This is attained in that the stator windings are accommodated directly in a recess (9) in the piston rod, which is made out of a material that can be magnetized, and the rotor is provided with permanent magnets (22), activates the adjusting component (11), and is accommodated in a bore in the stator (12).

Variable dashpot for motor vehicles

A shaft bearing assembly, particularly for a miniature electric motor. In the case of the present shaft bearing assembly, an oil-impregnated dampening disc made of an absorbent material the capillary action of which is greater than that of the porous bearing block is disposed between the thrust collar of the shaft and the axial end face of the bearing block. The shaft bearing assembly is particularly suitable for electric motors of smaller size and is effective in reducing motor noise.

An electric motor construction is described in which the permanent magnet and a flux return element are embedded in a molded structure serving as a face plate and including seats for bearings as well as a bore for the motor shaft.

A method for assembling a stator for an electric machine having a permanent magnet for generating a magnetic field in an air gap. Assembly of the stator is performed with the aid of a plunger, the cross section of which corresponds to the cross section of the air gap. The permanent magnet is slid into the interior of the plunger, whereas the flux return ring is slid over the same. The so formed sub-assembly is put into a casting mold adapted to be filled with a plastic material, which in its cured or hardened state forms a casing intimately surrounding the outer surface of the flux return ring and forming a face plate, to which the permanent magnet adheres. When the plastic material has set, the casting mold is opened and the plunger is retracted from the sub-assembly, resulting in a close toleranced cylindrical air gap space. After insertion of a bell-shaped rotor, a brush cover is assembled opposite the face plate. The flux return ring may be longitudinally slotted and biased so as to more intimately contact the calibrated tube during assembly in order to reduce the air gap tolerances. Instead of a plastic casing, a cup-shaped casing of malleable or deformable material may be used.

Method for assembling a stator for an electric machine

A stator having a plurality of permanent magnets with a cylindrically shaped outer surface and with at least one planar opposite surface is manufactured to close tolerances of the air gap with the aid of a plurality of ferromagnetic link members, equal in number to the number of permanent magnets and adapted to come into planar contact with those surfaces of said permanent magnets which are pointing away from the air gap. The permanent magnets are placed into a cylindrically shaped sleeve, the inner diameter of which corresponds to the desired inner diameter of the air gap of the stator. A sleeve of a ferromagnetic material may be used for holding said permanent magnets in intimate contact with the sleeve. The link members are shaped so as to be brought into generally planar contact with at least part of the inner surface of two adjacent ones of the permanent magnets. An adhesive is used to secure the link members to the permanent magnets. The so formed permanent sub-assembly may be secured in an known manner to an end plate of the stator housing. A flux return ring is also secured to that end plate. The sleeve is withdrawn from said permanent magnets after the adhesive has cured and preferably after the permanent magnet subassembly has been fixed to the end plate. The sleeve may be formed so as to have an outer diameter corresponding to the outer diameter of the desired air gap. By this, a close toleranced air gap will be provided even if the individual permanent magnets are not formed for high tolerances.

Method of manufacturing a stator for an electrical machine

A method for assembling a stator for an electric machine having a permanent magnet for generating a magnetic field in an air gap. A stator for an electrical machine, comprising an outer ferromagnetic flux return ring, a permanent magnet system arranged inside the flux return ring, and a face plate supporting the flux return ring and the permanent magnet system. The latter comprises at least four permanent magnets, each of which is shaped cylindrically at its outer surface, and an equal number of magnetically conductive link means, each of which abutts the inner surface of two adjacent permanent magnets. The link means serve to support the permanent magnets and may be bonded to the same. The stator is easy to manufacture with a low toleranced air gap and is of a rigid construction.
