The pipeline section of the gas-insulated pipeline has an insulating gas-filled encapsulation including a polymer pipe. A current conductor is arranged inside the capsule pipe and extends parallel to the latter's axis and is supplied with a high voltage. This current conductor is retained by insulators that rest on the inside surface of the capsule pipe. At least one of a plurality of post insulators has a support ring resting on the mantle surface of the current conductor. At least three evenly distributed and hollow support elements are molded peripherally in a star shape on the support ring, each of which has transversely to a longitudinal axis a profile that is constructed in the shape of an arch or trapezoid. The support elements each have a shell-shaped foot. Each shell-shaped foot has a thickness (d) which is smaller than a distance (a) between the current conductor and the inside surface of the capsule pipe and smaller than a length (l) in an axial direction of the capsule pipe. At least two of the feet rest on the inside surface of the capsule pipe. This keeps the electric field strength in the gaps between the post insulators and the inside surface of the polymer capsule pipe at a minimum and thus optimizes the di-electric stability of the pipeline section.

Extending between a fixed tulip contact (1) and a slide tulip (4) is an arcing chamber (5) which is occupied in the closed position by a movable contact pin (3) which fills up both an exhaust (9) surrounded by the slide tulip (4) and a blowout opening (7) which is surrounded by the tulip contact (1) and connects the arcing chamber (5) to a pressure chamber (6). The arcing chamber (5) is surrounded by an annular heating volume (13) open toward the same. Arranged in the pressure chamber (6) is a charge (10) of explosive which is for the most part converted within approximately 10-30 ms after ignition to extinguishing gas, preferably predominantly nitrogen, the gas pressure moving the contact pin (3) toward the open position. After clearance of the blowout opening (7) and the exhaust (9), the arc drawn between the contact pin (3) and tulip contact (1) is blown out, something which is supported by the pressure buildup, to which the arc contributes, in the heating volume (13). The pressure chamber with the charge can also surround the arcing chamber in an annular fashion. In this case, it is also possible to support the opening movement by the explosion pressure, for example, via pistons.

This power breaker has at least one quenching chamber, which is filled with an insulating medium, is of cylindrical design, extends along a central axis (2) and has a power current path, having two stationary consumable contact arrangements (5, 6) which are arranged on the central axis (2), are at a distance from one another in the axial direction and are arranged in the power current path. In the connected state, the consumable contact arrangements (5, 6) are electrically conductively connected by means of a moving bridging contact. An arc zone (24) is provided between the stationary consumable contact arrangements (5, 6). A rated current path, which is provided with moving rated current contacts, is arranged in parallel with the power current path. The bridging contact is arranged in the interior of the consumable contact arrangements (5, 6) extended along the central axis (2).

This power breaker has at least one quenching chamber, which is filled with an insulating medium, is of cylindrical design, extends along a central axis (2) and has a power current path, having two stationary consumable contact arrangements (5, 6) which are arranged on the central axis (2), are at a distance from one another in the axial direction and are arranged in the power current path. In the connected state, the consumable contact arrangements (5, 6) are electrically conductively connected by means of a moving bridging contact. An arc zone (24) is provided between the consumable contact arrangements (5, 6). A rated current path is arranged in parallel with the power current path. The power breaker is provided with at least one source for a highly pressurized insulating medium. The medium passes from this source directly into the arc zone (24), through at least one injection channel (62, 63). This high-pressure injection considerably improves the breaking capacity of the power breaker.

The stock contains an insulating-material matrix and a filler embedded in the matrix and is distinguished by a cellular structure. The predominant portion of the cells is filled with a material having arc-extinguishing properties or contains a material which, on exposure to an arc, forms arc-extinguishing gas. For the purpose of improving the making and breaking capacity, such a stock can advantageously be employed in a gas-blast circuit breaker in which arc-extinguishing gas is blown onto the switching arc. This involves the stock preferably being positioned at such points guiding the arc-extinguishing gas, at which the stock is exposed to the radiation of the arc and the thermal action of arc gases.
