A paint sprayer is configured for use with a paint container. The sprayer includes a housing having an air inlet and a nozzle located on the housing. Movable grip members are supported on the housing. The grip members are located in a circular array with an inner diameter that is greater than the outer diameter of the paint container. A ring extends circumferentially about the circular array of grip members, and is supported on the housing for rotation relative to the housing. When the ring rotates relative to the housing, it moves the grip members to a condition in which the inner diameter of the circular array is not greater than the outer diameter of the paint container.

A nailer incorporates an integrated stud finder for sensing when a stud is present. The nailer has a work contact element and a magazine for storing nails. The stud finder includes a sensor plate coupled to the work contact element of a nailer and a stud sensing circuit coupled to the sensor plate. The stud sensing circuit is provided for reading a capacitance level and for determining whether the sensor plate is positioned adjacent a stud based upon the capacitance level that is read. The stud finder also includes at least one signaling device coupled to the sensor plate for signaling to a user when a stud is present. The sensor plate is coupled to a no mar tip that is tethered to the nailer. A storage post for storing the no mar tip is positioned on the magazine for storing the no mar tip when not in use.

A fastener driving apparatus includes a motor with an output shaft. The motor is shiftable between a de-energized condition in which it can not be actuated to move the output shaft, and an energized condition in which it can be actuated to move the output shaft. The apparatus further includes a nose and a control device. The nose is shiftable between differently configured conditions, including a first condition for guiding a fastener driven by the output shaft, and a second condition for releasing a fastener that jams when the nose is in the first condition. The control device maintains the nose in the first condition while the motor remains in the energized condition.

An apparatus comprises a gauge for measuring a parameter. The gauge has a sensing section configured to react to exposure to the parameter in a manner indicative of the parameter. The gauge further has a port through which the sensing section is exposed to the parameter. A cap is configured to be removably attached to the gauge such that the cap covers the port to protect the port from damage. The cap has a hole configured to allow coupling of the cap to another device.
