The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for accurately, efficiently, and flexibly establishing compatibility connections between successive digital content editing operations in digital content operation pipelines or sequences. In particular, the disclosed systems can determine operation-specific features for executing digital content editing operations within a sequence. For example, the disclosed systems can determine digital image file types (or other digital content operation features) supported by particular digital content editing operations. Additionally, the disclosed systems can select a supported digital content operation feature for performing a particular operation to pass digital content from the operation to the next operation in a supported format, while also preserving quality and information richness.

Determining and selecting operation features for digital content editing operations within an operation sequence

Techniques are disclosed for dynamic digital image compositing using a digital image template. A request is received to generate a composite digital image at a user-specified resolution based on a master digital image. Each of a plurality of digital image templates includes image data representing a different, particular resolution of the master digital image. The digital image templates can be stored in a common file with the master digital image. One of the digital image templates associated with a resolution that is at least as high as and closest to the user-specified resolution is selected for compositing. Composite image data is then generated based on the selected digital image template. Next, the composite image is rendered based on the composite image data and scaled to the user-specified resolution.

Dynamic digital image compositing using image templates

The present disclosure includes systems and methods relating to digital image modification using pyramid vignettes. In general, one aspect of the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in a method that includes receiving a request associated with rendering a photorealistic variation of a master digital image at an original resolution, selecting a digital image template from a number of digital image templates comprising image data associated with the master digital image at various resolutions, the selected image data at a different resolution from the original resolution, and rendering the photorealistic variation of the master digital image using the selected template.
