A batter clamp comprises a contact ring which can be placed on a battery contact, and a terminal bolt to which a cable can be screwed. The contact ring is formed from two metal lugs each continuing into an intermediate section in which they extend in parallelism to each other and spaced from each other. Adjacent thereto, the metal lugs continue into a terminal section in which the terminal bolt is arranged. A stiffening lug is provided which starting from the terminal section extends as far as between the two intermediate sections and is connected thereto with the two metal lugs in a fashion resistant to shearing load.

Plug connector

A plug connector has a conducting metal housing and a plurality of signal lines in the form of connection pins disposed in rows and columns. A planar filter assembly includes a planar filter having a ground electrode and two opposed edges constructed as conductive side regions being connected to the ground electrode and being connected to ground through the housing. A substrate has openings formed therein each receiving a respective one of the connection pins. Capacitors are each disposed in the vicinity of a respective one of the openings for a respective one of the connection pins. Each of the capacitors has a first coating being connected to a respective one of the connection pins and being extended into a respective one of the openings, a second coating connected through the housing to ground, and a layer-like dielectric disposed between the first and second coatings. Contact inserts are each soldered in a respective one of the openings for retaining a respective one of the connection pins and each have at least two contact prongs electrically connecting a respective one of the connection pins to the first coating of a respective one of the capacitors.

A multi-pole connector for connecting a number of signal lines includes a connector casing and rows of adjacent connecting pins and connecting sockets. At least one planar filter is adjacent one of the rows of the connecting pins or sockets. The at least one planar filter has edge regions producing a ground connection, a connecting site and a number of condensers corresponding to the number of signal lines to be connected. Each of the condensers is assigned to a respective one of the pins or sockets and each has a first coating connected to an associated signal line, a second coating to be connected to ground and a dielectric layer interposed between the first and second coatings. Each of the connecting pins or sockets has a connecting conductor connected to the connecting site. Securing connectors are conductively connected with the connector casing and secure at least one of the edge regions.

A planar filter, in particular for multiple-pole plug connectors (plugs or counterpart plugs) disposed in a housing making a ground connection, for signal lines carrying electronic signals, includes a substrate and a number of closely spaced capacitors corresponding to the number of signal lines and being disposed on the substrate. The capacitors are formed of one common ground electrode being substantially continuous at least in the peripheral region of the substrate, individual signal electrodes each being provided for one of the signal lines and being insulated from the others, and a dielectric layer between them. The substrate has openings formed therein each for one of the signal lines. The signal electrodes each extend to or into one of the openings and are connected there to one of the signal lines. Each of the capacitors is formed of a series circuit of two substantially equal-size individual capacitors forming a capacitor pair. Intermediate electrodes are applied onto the dielectric covering of the signal electrodes and to the ground electrode for forming the two series-connected capacitors, they cover both of them over approximately equal-sized area regions, and they cover the ground electrode and the associated signal electrodes with portions of approximately equal area.

The invention relates to a high-density, high-voltage-proof, multi-contact connector assembly. In order to overcome the problem of surface leakage currents or electrical discharges due to high voltage, the structure of terminals of the connector assembly has been changed in such a way as to provide male terminals with insulating ferrules, so that there will no longer be any gap for electric surface currents where two thermoplastic parts of the insulating body of a connector are pressed one part against the other. According to another embodiment, this problem is solved by forming an insulating body of the connector in one piece and inserting the terminals into openings being smaller than the diameter of the terminals, so that the undersized part of the opening is located in the depth of the opening and the creep distances are enlarged. Additionally, the terminals are provided with cutting barbs which, upon a rotation within the opening in the thermoplastic part, cut into the material and securely lock the terminals in place.

High-density, high-voltage-proof, multi-contact connector assembly

A multipolar plug connector assembly includes a plug connector and a plug for a given number of signal lines conducting digitized electronic signals. The plug connector has a housing in the form of a conductive shielding enclosure. At least the given number of contact springs with associated conductors is disposed in the housing. The plug connector cooperates with the plug for making contact and for lifting the contact springs from a position of rest into an operating position, when the plug connector and the plug are plugged together. A filter configuration, in the form of a low-pass filter or band pass filter, is disposed in the plug housing and has contact surfaces. The contact surfaces cooperate with the contact springs and are electrically connected with the conductors, when bringing the contact springs into the operating position by inserting the plug into the plug connector.

Multipolar jack for electronic signal lines

A connector having a male part and a matching female part, both parts are provided with mating faces extending essentially parallel to the plug-in direction and moving along each other when these parts mate with each other. One connector part is provided with one or more radially projecting collars which are sawtooth-shaped in cross-section and extend over the entire periphery of the mating face. The other connector part has a smooth surface extending over the entire periphery of the fitting face so that after the parts are plugged in, the outside edge of each collar rests in sealing fashion on the opposite smooth fitting face. The male part can be a supporting body for the contact elements of the connector and/or a contact element itself. The female part can be the housing of the connector and/or an aperture in the supporting body for receiving a contact element.

A connector assembly, in particular for use in an electrically adjustable shock absorber of the type comprising a cylindrical housing in which shock-absorbing means and electrical control means are accommodated. The connector assembly comprises a connector having an elongated supporting element of electrically insulating material to be accommodated in the cylindrical housing. At a first end of the supporting element contact elements and positioning means, comprising an approximately T-shaped polarization lobe projecting outwards in the lengthwise direction of the supporting element, for contacting a further connector are situated. From the first end past the second end of the supporting element eletrical conductors, preferably contact tracks on a flexible film connected to the contact elements, extend for connection of the electrical control means. A connector comprising a carrier body with at least two contact elements and a magnetically actuatable switching device. The switching device is arranged to electrically connect or disconnect the two contact elements when the connector mates with or disconnects from another connector. Control means activate the switching device. The control means includes a movably disposed tracer finger. In a preferred embodiment, the switching device includes a reed relay which is activated by a permanent magnet.

A hybrid connector, comprising a housing having a contact side for making contact to a further connector, a connection side for connecting an electrical wiring and a flat substrate which is situated on the connection side of the connector. This substrate is provided with a plurality of hybrid circuit components, having connecting electrode patches. The contact elements of the connector are formed by parallel, electrically conducting contact tracks on a flexible film, which film extends over a supporting body from the contact side to the connection side of the connector. Assemblies of spring strips being provided, supported by the supporting body, for exerting a force on the film, such that its contact tracks make electrical contact to the corresponding contact electrodes or wiring electrodes of the further connector, the electrical wiring and the flat hybrid substrate. A mountable receptacle connector for mating with a cable connector which has resilient cantilevered locking members. The mountable connector is provided with a separate locking frame fitted on the housing of the mountable connector at the mating end thereof. The locking frame is provided with receiving and locking means for the locking member.

Mountable connector for cable assembly

A connector for contacting one or more conductor tracks provided on a flexfoil to corresponding conducting inserts. The body of the connector is from insulating material and provided with at least one insert hole for inserting an insert to be contacted and a recess for receiving at least part of the flexfoil. Said recess overlaps the insert hole and is in connection with the insert hole in the region of overlap. A spring clip has to be inserted in the connector such that the conductor tracks face the associated insert holes and the spring clip bears against the side of the flexfoil facing from the conductor tracks. The said clip presses the conductor tracks at least partially into the respective insert holes. The spring clip comprises strips and is provided on both their longitudinal edges with fastening elements engaging in the recess wall.

A fixing frame for a flat filter unit having a flat substrate with a pattern of passages for the contact elements of a connector. The fixing frame comprises a metal base plate having a pattern of passages corresponding to said filter unit, and being provided at two opposite edges with upright sides which each merge into guide grooves for accomodation between them of said flat filter unit. The fixing frame being provided with spring-loaded contact elements for contacting the housing or shielding of a connector.
