Briefly, an apparatus, a method and a wireless communication device are provided. The wireless communication device includes a turbo encoder to generate an encoded data block and a transmitter to transmit a data sub-block of the encoded data block in a time slot of a physical channel of the wireless communication system. The encoded data block includes real time data.

DC offset is estimated in a wireless receiver during a period when receive energy is blocked from reaching a mixer within the receiver. The estimated DC offset value may then be used to reduce DC offset within the wireless receiver when a receive signal is subsequently being processed.

A synchronized frequency generating system is provided which includes a main crystal clock, for producing a basic frequency F , a channel sampling phase locked loop (PLL) unit, connected to the main crystal clock, for converting the basic frequency F into a channel sampling frequency F , a voice sampling PLL unit, connected to the main crystal clock, for converting the basic frequency F into a voice sampling frequency F , a time tracking unit, connected to the channel sampling PLL unit, for detecting signal characteristics so as to determine a channel sampling frequency phase change value &Dgr;&phgr; and a frame timing phase change value &Dgr;&phgr; , and a phase controller, connected to the voice sampling PLL. The phase controller receives channel sampling frequency phase adjustment data and determines a voice sampling frequency phase change value &Dgr;&phgr; . The phase controller provides the voice sampling frequency phase change value &Dgr;&phgr; to the voice sampling PLL.

Voice-channel frequency synchronization

The frequency controller receives channel sampling frequency phase adjustment data and determines a voice sampling frequency phase change value .DELTA..phi..sub.VS. The frequency controller provides the voice sampling frequency phase change value .DELTA..phi..sub.VS to the voice sampling PLL.
