Base station antennas include an externally accessible active antenna module releasably coupled to a recessed segment that is over a chamber in the base station antenna and that is longitudinally and laterally extending along and across a rear of a base station antenna housing. The base station antenna housing has a passive antenna assembly that cooperates with the active antenna module.

The coupling sublines of the plurality of couplers are connected in series to provide a first coupling output port and a second coupling output port. The first part of the coupling subline of at least one of the plurality of couplers has a shared section with the second part of the coupling subline of an adjacent one of the plurality of couplers.

The radiating elements in a first of the columns in the first array have a first azimuth boresight pointing direction and the radiating elements in a second of the columns in the first array have a second azimuth boresight pointing direction that is offset from the first azimuth boresight pointing direction by at least 10°. A patch antenna comprises a multilayer printed circuit board that includes a calibration network, an array of patch radiators and a feed network. In some embodiments, the multilayer printed circuit board includes a plurality of dielectric substrates, wherein the array of patch radiators is provided on a dielectric substrate different from the dielectric substrate on which the calibration network is provided, and the dielectric substrate provided with the array of patch radiators is provided above the dielectric substrate provided with the calibration network.

A radiating element may have a dipole arm that may include a first conductive circuit loop and a second conductive circuit loop. The first conductive circuit loop may include at least one narrow conductive segment and at least one wide conductive segment, and the narrow conductive segment may present high impedance characteristics in at least one frequency band outside the operating frequency band of the radiating element to suppress at least partially the current in the at least one frequency band. A base station antenna may include a feed board and the radiating element mounted on the feed board.

Compact wideband dual-polarized radiating elements for base station antenna applications

A radiator assembly for a base station antenna has a longitudinal central axis and two dipoles cross-arranged around the longitudinal central axis. Each dipole has two dipole arms and each dipole arm is equipped with a hook-like feeder made of a metal sheet and having a free end portion. The hook-like feeder is capacitively coupled with an associated dipole arm. The radiator assembly is compact and is easy to manufacture and assemble.
