Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing Layer 2 (L2) and Layer 3 (L3) policies. Traffic is routed from a first VM to a first CGW within a Service Node, where the Service Node can include a centralized policy for both L2 functions and L3 functions, and the first CGW can integrate both L2 gateways and L3 gateways. Based on a floating IP address of the packet, the traffic is routed within the Service Node, the traffic being routed by an access BD from an ingress BD-VIF to an egress BD-VIF. The traffic is then routed from a second CGW that integrates both L2 gateways and L3 gateways to the destination VM.

Method and apparatus for enrolling connected electronic devices in a connected home monitoring-security system

In one embodiment, a method includes identifying at a first edge device, a failure at a second edge device, the first and second edge devices located in a local network site in communication with remote network sites in an overlay network, changing a state of a routing locator address at the first edge device from down to up in response to the failure at the second edge device, the routing locator address initially associated with the second edge device, and advertising the routing locator address at the first edge device in an underlay network so that packets from the remote network sites are forwarded to the first edge device upon convergence in the underlay network. An apparatus and logic are also disclosed herein.

Fast convergence for redundant edge devices

A media alignment method includes printing a calibration pattern on a media in a print one by a printhead including forming a first corner identification marker at a first corner of a reference edge of the media, a second corner identification marker at a second corner of the reference edge, and a linear identification marker. The method also includes capturing the calibration pattern by an image capturing unit. The method also includes determining a printhead axis based on the linear identification marker, determining a default printhead origin based on the printhead axis and the linear identification marker, and determining a media origin based on the printhead axis, the first corner identification marker, and the second corner identification marker. The method also includes determining an offset compensation parameter by the determination module corresponding to a distance between the default printhead origin and the media origin.
