Provided is a support structure segment for a stator of a generator, in particular of a wind turbine, wherein the support structure segment includes a carrier element extending in an axial direction AD, wherein the carrier element includes a base section, a side section and a top section, and wherein the top section is configured to be coupled to a lamination sheet section of the stator by means of a fixing connection.

Support structure segment for a generator of a wind turbine

A generator armature including a plurality of laminate sheets stacked to form an annular arrangement of armature teeth, whereby each pair of adjacent armature teeth is separated by an axial winding slot extending a direction essentially parallel to an axis of rotation of the generator; and a plurality of radial cooling channels, whereby a radial cooling channel is realized to transport a cooling medium and extends from an axial winding slot to an interior cavity of the generator, and wherein a radial cooling channel includes a series of aligned notches in the laminate sheets of a laminate stack is provided. A laminate sheet for an armature of a generator, a cooling arrangement, a generator, a wind turbine, and a method of cooling stator windings arranged on an armature of a generator is also provided.

Generator armature

A field structure of an electrical machine includes a plurality of field slots. Each field slot extends from a first surface of the field structure into the body of the field structure. Each filed slot also has a T-shaped cross-sectional area dimensioned to accommodate a magnet pole assembly comprising a corresponding cross-sectional area.
