A hydraulic disc coupling () for a system distributing torque between the left and right wheels and/or the front and rear axles of a vehicle is provided. A coupling piston () is configured to be mechanically locked by an integrated locking arrangement (), when the coupling piston () is actuated to act on the disc package (), such that the coupling remains engaged whereby the input () is connected to the output () of the coupling () without hydraulic pressure acting on the coupling piston (). Unlocking of the integrated locking arrangement () is provided by again actuating the coupling piston ().

Hydraulic coupling

A dog clutch comprises first () and second () drive shafts, the drive shafts being connectable to one another by a dual spline connector (). The dual spline connector is movable along a longitudinal axis of the first () and second () drive shafts and is provided with an internal spline that mates with an external spline of the first drive shaft. The dual spline connector is further provided with an external spline that upon axial movement may be connected or disconnected to an internal spline of the second drive shaft. Either or both of the external spline of the dual spline connector and/or the internal spline of the second drive shaft is or are provided with means for allowing partial connection of the internal and external splines.

Dog clutch

A hydraulic pump assembly comprises a rotatable piston drum () with at least one centrifugal lever () pivotally attached thereto for radial movements between radial flanges () under the action of centrifugal force at rotation of the piston drum. The centrifugal lever () is arranged to control the position of a valve member, preferably a ball (), at the opening end of a bore () in the piston drum (). There is a defined friction surface () between the lever () and one of the radial flanges (), and there are spring means (-) for resiliently biasing the lever against said one of the flanges.

Hydraulic pump assembly

An all-wheel drive system for a vehicle having an engine and a drive shaft is arranged between the drive shaft and front and rear propellable shafts. These shafts are interconnected by first and second clutches respectively, and the propellable shafts are coupled to front and rear wheels, for transferring torque from the drive shaft to the front and/or rear wheels. The all-wheel drive system further includes at least first and second actuators that are coupled to at least first and second clutches, where at least the first clutch is engaged by a spring and at least the first actuator is coupled for disengaging the first clutch when the first actuator is operated. The second actuator is coupled for engaging the second clutch when the second actuator is operated.
