The present disclosure relates to a clothes dryer having a structure capable of cleaning a heat exchanger. The clothes dryer includes a main body, a drum rotatably provided in the main body, a heat exchanger provided to supply hot and dry air to an inside of the drum, and a cleaning device detachably installed in the main body to clean the heat exchanger, wherein the cleaning device includes a brush provided to come into contact with at least one surface of the heat exchanger, and a brush handle provided to move the brush.

A dishwasher, in which a reservoir provided with an electrolyzer is connected to a water collector via a flow path change valve, and wash water in the reservoir is electrolyzed by the electrolyzer during non-operation of the wash water, to generate sterilizing water and to circulate the sterilizing water into the dishwasher, thereby achieving an enhancement in sterilizability of the dishwasher. A method for controlling a dishwasher makes it possible to suppress propagation of microorganisms left in the dishwasher and to remove organic substances, using a sterilizing agent or high-temperature water. It is also possible to reduce generation of offensive odor caused by decomposition of bacteria, through a reduction in the amount of bacteria in the dishwasher. Since sterilization of the dishwasher is automatically carried out, enhanced user convenience is provided.

Dishwasher and method for controlling the same

A drum washing machine and washing method are provided. The washing machine directly sprays water to laundry inside the drum through a nozzle unit. The method includes passing some water through a detergent container and directly spraying some water to the inside of a drum through a nozzle unit such that a high concentration of detergent bubbles is generated while applying a force to the laundry. The washing machine includes a cabinet, a tub inside the cabinet, a drum inside the tub, a door on the cabinet, a diaphragm, and a nozzle unit installed so interference with the door is avoided and to receive water directly from an external source to spray water inside the drum during a washing cycle and a rinsing cycle. The nozzle unit adjusts water jetting according to a displacement of an actuator installed inside the nozzle unit.

Drum washing machine and washing method thereof

A washing machine capable of reducing the manufacturing cost of a circulation device installed to circulate water and capable of preventing water from being scattered when spraying circulating water into a spin basket is described. A tub cover of the washing machine includes a guide part provided with a connector, which is integrated with the tub cover, connected with a circulation passage, and inclined upward toward the tub cover, and an inclined surface inclined toward the spin basket at an inner edge of the tub cover, thereby reducing the manufacturing of the circulation device and preventing water from being scattered. The washing machine includes a circulation drain port formed at a side surface of a tub and a filtering duct connected with the circulation drain port, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the circulation device.

In the washing machine, which has a tub installed in a main body, a spin basket rotatably installed in the tub, and a pulsator unit installed in the spin basket to generate a washing water current, the pulsator unit includes a first pulsator connected to a washing shaft of a driving device, a rod member installed on the upper surface of the first pulsator such that the rod member is tilted toward a central axis of the first pulsator at a designated angle, and a second pulsator coupled with the rod member such that the second pulsator is relatively rotated against the rod member. The pulsator unit generates a combined water current in the spin basket, and thus prevents the twisting and entanglement of laundry or reduces the amount of consumed washing water.
