A social networking system suggests deals relevant to a user. The deals are selected for suggestion based on social information associated with the user. Social information used for selecting candidate deals for a user includes information describing other users connected to the user and their associations with the candidate deals or with related deals, for example, deals from the same provider. Associations of connections of the user with the candidate deals may be determined based on actions associated with the candidate deals performed by the connections. The actions performed by the connections may be weighted based on types of the actions to determine a measure of relevance of the candidate deal for the user. Candidate deals are selected from a set of deals by applying deal targeting criteria received from deal providers. The deal targeting criteria specify attributes describing users to be targeted for a particular deal.

Presenting deals to a user of social networking system

A social networking system acts as a platform for distributing deals from one or more deal providers. The users of the social networking system can interact with information describing the deals via a dashboard user interface provided by the social networking system. When users purchase deals on the social networking system's platform, the social networking system receives a portion of the deal price called the platform share and compensates the users for purchasing deals via the social networking system. The compensation may be funded from the revenue received by the social networking system for the purchases (the platform share). The compensation provided to a user may depend on social information associated with the user, such as the number of the user's connections also participating in the deal.

Platform for distributing deals via a social networking system

Social networking systems allow deal providers to provide social deals that require participation by users connected via the social networking system for activation. A social deal is activated for a user based on actions performed by other users connected to the user. The actions performed by a participant of the social deal include actions related to the social deal as well as actions related to objects associated with the social deal, for example, purchasing an item, associated, checking in to a location associated with the social deal, or recommending the social deal. The social networking system may suggest potential participants in the social deal for a user. The deal may be activated by performing actions of one or more type. A threshold number of actions of each type may be required for activating the deal.

Offering social deals based on activities of connections in a social networking system

A method for clustering logic units in a field programmable integrated chip to generate a set of clusters is disclosed. The clustering step for forming a super cluster comprises a first logic element and a second logic unit a first logic unit and a super cluster, or a first super cluster and a second super cluster. The method includes generating all possible configurations by enumerating all possible two-way relationships combining a driver-and-receiver relationship from a pool of a finite number of dedicated connections. The set of all possible configurations is reduced to a subset of configurations based on one or more multi-dimension criteria. Each dimension in the multi-dimensional criteria is represented by a parameter. The method involves prioritizing a collection of parameters so that a set of selected parameters or a set of selected criteria is used to generate a desirable number of subsets of configurations.

Structure cluster and method in programmable logic circuit

A programmable logic structure is disclosed employing input logic routing cell (ILRC) multiplexers and output logic routing cell (OLRC) multiplexers for making local connections between dedicated logic cells. In a simple programmable logic structure, a dedicated logic cell (DLC) is implemented in a programmable logic structure comprising multiple ILRC multiplexers for port A and multiple OLRC multiplexers for port B. In a multi-level programmable logic structure, multiple columns of dedicated logic cells is designed with columns of dedicated local cells adjacent to each other where each DLC column is used to implement a particular logic function. In a first embodiment, local connections can be made between dedicated logic cells, e.g. an OLRC in a first DLC at level L making local point-to-point connections to an ILRC in a second DLC at level L+1. In a second embodiment, local connections can be made from any other dedicated logic cells, whether positioned horizontally or vertically relative to a relative point or multiplexer, and from any offset from a current logic and routing cell (LRC). In a third embodiment, local connections can be made by stitching a first OLRC to a second OLRC (for connecting to an ILRC), which allows lines from other columns or levels of DLC to reach an ILRC for a fast local interconnect.

Programmable logic cells with local connections

A timing-driven simultaneous placement and floorplanning method based on a multi-layer density system for heterogeneous field programmable gate arrays are disclosed. The field programmable gate arrays are designed with heterogeneous resources including look-up tables, memory blocks and dedicated logic blocks. Each layer in the multi-layer density system is modeled with a different architectural resource. The placement of look-up tables and the floorplan of computational blocks are concurrently determined in the multi-layer density system. A dynamic timing optimization scheme is also seamlessly integrated in the placement process.
