A first one of a wireless communication device () and a base station () performs a method for applying a change to a configuration or state of a radio bearer. The radio bearer supports the transfer of data over a radio connection between the wireless communication device () and the base station () with defined data transfer characteristics. The method includes performing a handshake with a second one of the wireless communication device () and the base station () to agree on a time to synchronously apply the change at the wireless communication device () and the base station (). The method also includes, in accordance with the agreement, synchronously applying the change at that time.

Changing radio bearer configuration or state

A method performed by a network element in a communication network comprises inspecting traffic between a radio device and the communication network. The method also comprises, based on said inspecting, determining that the traffic is part of a TCP subflow of an MPTCP connection. The method also comprises, based on said inspecting, calculating a ratio of how much data is transmitted in the subflow in relation to the total amount of data transmitted in the MPTCP connection over a predetermined time period. The method also comprises observing that the calculated ratio is below a reference ratio. The method also comprises, based on said observing, performing an action for preventing congestion in the communication network.

Method and devices for controlling usage of multi-path TCP

A User Equipment (UE) and a mobile communications network node perform or handle inter frequency measurements. The technology prevents overloading the UE with frequency measurement processing by allowing different requirements for measurements, i.e., measurement performance requirements on different frequencies, i.e., cells. When ordering the UE to perform inter frequency measurements, two or more separate neighbor cell lists may be used. This allows a UE having a certain processor capacity to perform measurement control for more cells and frequencies, i.e., measurements on more than two non-used frequencies, without increasing the processing load of the UE.

Finally, correcting/adapting Sthe provided positioning information based on the provided user equipment identification data, a predetermined desired output geographical format, the determined user equipment type and the applied positioning method, whereby an improved positioning for the user equipment is enabled in the core network node.

Method and arrangement for improved positioning

A method and system for reconnecting dropped calls in a mobile telecommunications network. Upon detecting a call drop of an ongoing call, a mobile station involved in the call transmits a call reconnect request to a target cell in the network. The target cell can be selected from a neighboring cell list received from a serving cell during the call. In response to the call reconnect request, a target switching node associated with the target cell locates the call and reconnects the mobile station to the call using a traffic channel in the target cell.
