A calf rest is provided for a patient chair. The calf rest may comprise a plate-shaped calf rest pad and a mounting is be mounted on the patient chair by means of a joint arrangement. The joint arrangement may be designed so that the calf rest pad is movable between an inactive moved-away end position, in which the extent of the calf rest pad is substantially parallel to one side of the patient chair and the calf rest pad can be positioned close to the patient chair, and a second active end position, where the calf rest pad is capable of supporting the patient's legs when extended, outwards away from the patient chair.

Calf rest for patient chair

A patient chair is provided that includes a chassis with a frame, a seating device intended for a patient and connected to the chassis, and a driving device for moving the seating device relative to the frame in the vertical direction between a lower position and an upper position, wherein in the upper position the seating device and, thus, a patient sitting in it are inclined backwards relative to the lower position. In one implementation, a stand belonging to the chassis extends upwards from the frame, and an element connected to the stand is continuously arched. Means cooperating with each other and positioned on the stand and the seating device are arranged for guiding the seating device along the element in the movement of the seating device between the lower and upper positions, so that the seating device is continuously gradually tilted in the course of its curved movement in the vertical direction.

Patient chair with a vertically movable seat

An apparatus for facilitating, in handicapped patients, undressing, dressing and access to body parts between the waist and knees of the patient. The apparatus includes a seat () and a back support () which between them form an open region () in which a person located in the apparatus is not supported. The seat and the back support are disposed to be displaced between positions in which the person is placed in positions where the major proportion of the patient's weight is carried by the seat or in which the major proportion of the patient's weight is carried by the back support.

A lifting appliance, especially for a patient lifting device, comprises a telescopic column (10) having a carriage (22) which is reciprocable in the longitudinal direction of the column under the action of the telescopic extension and retraction motions of the column. The appliance comprises safety means (37) which are adapted to stop the telescopic motions of the column, in case of defects in the power transmission between a driving motor (15) producing the telescopic motions of the column, and the carriage (22), or if the carriage (22) or a lifting means connected therewith should be stopped by some object in its downward motion.
