A system, a gateway, and a method for automatic setting configuration by learning commands are provided. The invention collects communication commands sent in a first network, stores target data accessed by a first device in the first network according to the communication command to an address, and maps the address to an I/O module used to access the target data by a second device. The system and the method can set the configuration of a gateway automatically, and achieve the effect of enhancing the efficiency of gateway configuration setting.

A fieldbus gateway using a virtual serial fieldbus port and a data transmission method thereof are provided. By receiving a fieldbus frame containing target data through a virtual serial fieldbus port connected to a source device or a target device via a fieldbus gateway and sending another fieldbus frame containing the target data via other fieldbus port to target devices or source devices, the system and the method can provide two or more remote devices to control one controlled device at the same time. The invention also achieves the effect of using one virtual serial fieldbus port to transmit data between multiple source devices and target devices concurrently.

A device that uses parameters to provide multi-channel serial data transmissions and the method thereof are provided. A first serial device configures with the channel parameters corresponding to a procedure executed on a second serial device. The invention determines whether the data channel corresponding to the procedure requires sending/receiving data occupies a physical line. If so, the first serial device transmits data to the second serial device. Otherwise, the first serial device transmits a channel switch request to the second serial device. After the first serial device and the second serial device are both switched the data channel corresponding to the procedure to occupy the physical line, the first serial device and the procedure could exchange data. Therefore, the first serial device could establish new connection without closing original connection. It achieves the goal of using a single serial port to have data channels of different operation modes or connections.
