A substrate assembly includes: a substrate; a gate structure disposed on the substrate; a conductive line disposed on the substrate, wherein from a top view, the conductive line extends along a first direction; and a conductive structure disposed on the substrate, wherein from the top view, the conductive structure is adjacent to the conductive line and separated from the conductive line, and the conductive structure has an overlapping region overlapping the gate structure, wherein from the top view, the overlapping region extends along a second direction, the first direction and the second direction are different, the overlapping region comprises a first end portion, and the first end portion has a curved shape.

Display with TFT

A display device includes: a substrate; a thin film transistor structure disposed on the substrate and including a gate electrode and a drain electrode; and a data line disposed on the substrate. Herein, from a top view, the data line is separated from the drain electrode, an edge of the gate electrode overlaps the drain electrode, the edge has two ends, and a first direction is parallel to a connection line of the two ends. In addition, from the top view, the drain electrode has a first distance and a second distance, the first distance is a maximum distance of the drain electrode not overlapping the gate electrode in the first direction, the second distance is a maximum distance of the drain electrode overlapping the gate electrode in the first direction, and the first distance is greater than the second distance.

Display device

A display device is disclosed, which includes: a first substrate; a plurality of scan lines and a plurality of data lines, wherein the plurality of scan lines intersects with the plurality of data lines, the plurality of scan lines and the plurality of data lines are disposed above the first substrate, and the plurality of scan lines extend along a first direction; a common electrode disposed above the first substrate, wherein the common electrode has a first part extending along the first direction, a second part substantially parallels to the one of the plurality of data lines, and the first part connects to the second part.

A display panel includes a first scan line and a second scan line adjacent to the first scan line disposed on the first substrate. A common electrode line is adjacent to the first scan line or the second scan line. The common electrode line has an enlarged portion, and an extending direction of the common electrode line is substantially the same as an extending direction of the first scan line. A first data line and a second data line adjacent to the first data line are disposed on the first substrate. In a direction perpendicular to the extending direction of the common electrode line, the enlarged portion has a maximum width, a part of the common electrode line overlapping the first data line has a maximum width, and the maximum width of the enlarged portion is greater than the maximum width of the first data line.

Display panels and electronic devices

A display device is disclosed, which includes: a substrate; a first metal conductive layer disposed on the substrate; a semiconductor layer disposed on the first metal conductive layer; and a second metal conductive layer disposed on the semiconductor layer and including a data line, a first part and a second part separated from the first part, the data line with a data extending direction connected to the second part. A first extending direction is a direction that the first part extends toward the second part, a first region is a region that the first part overlaps the first metal conductive layer, the first part has a first maximum breadth outside the first region along the data extending direction and a second maximum breadth inside the first region along a direction substantially perpendicular to the first extending direction, and the first maximum breadth is greater than the second maximum breadth.

A display panel comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a display layer and transistors. One of the transistors includes a gate electrode disposed on the base plate, a first insulating layer disposed on the gate electrode, an active layer disposed on the first insulating layer, and a source electrode and a drain electrode disposed on the active layer, wherein the active layer includes a channel region between the source electrode and the drain electrode. At least one of the source and drain electrodes includes a first conductive layer disposed on the active layer, and a second conductive layer disposed on and contacting the first conductive layer, wherein the second conductive layer exposes a portion of top surface of the first conductive layer so that the first conductive layer possesses a first protrusion portion protruding from the edge of the second conductive layer and extending towards the channel region.

Transistor array substrate and display panel using the same

A low color shift display panel includes a pixel array. The pixel array includes a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel. Each of the first sub-pixel and second sub-pixel respectively includes a data line, a gate line, a first transistor coupled to the data line and a first liquid crystal capacitor, a second transistor coupled to the data line and a second liquid crystal capacitor, and a third transistor coupled to a common voltage and the second transistor. The first sub-pixel has a first ratio which is the width-to-length ratio of the third transistor divided by the width-to-length ratio of the second transistor. The second sub-pixel has a second ratio which is the width-to-length ratio of the third transistor divided by the width-to-length ratio of the second transistor. The second ratio is smaller than the first ratio.

Low color shift display panel

A first substrate of a display panel includes scan lines disposed above a first base and extending along a first direction, and data lines disposed above the first base and extending along a second direction. An electrode between two data lines has two extending portions substantially parallel to the second direction and one bending portion, and the bending portion is positioned between and connects two extending portions. When a light passes the electrode, an extending direction of a dark pattern corresponding to the bending portion is substantially parallel to the first direction, the dark pattern has a first width in a first gray level and a second width in a second gray level, the first width is larger than the second width, the second gray level is a maximum gray level of the display panel and the first gray level is equal to half of all gray levels.

Display panel having stable maintenance ratio with viewing angle changed in different gray levels

A display device is disclosed, which comprises: a substrate; a semiconductor layer disposed on the substrate; a second electrode layer disposed over the semiconductor layer and comprising first data lines extending along a second direction; and plural pixel regions disposed between two adjacent first data lines. Herein, one pixel region has a first section and a second section substantially parallel to the second direction, respectively. The first section overlaps with the semiconductor layer, but the second section does not overlap therewith. When light passes through the display device, a ratio of a first brightness integral value obtained by measuring the first section to a second brightness integral value obtained by measuring the second section is greater than 0.4 and smaller than 1.

A display device is disclosed, which includes: a first substrate; a plurality of scan lines and a plurality of data lines, wherein the scan lines intersects with the data lines, the scan and the data lines are disposed above the first substrate, and the scan lines extend along a first direction; a common electrode disposed above the first substrate; a second substrate; a display medium layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the common electrode has a first part extending along the first direction, a second part corresponding to the data lines, and an end part, wherein the first part connects to the second part, the end part connects to the second part, a first angle included between the end part and the second part greater than 0 degree and less than 180 degrees. The end part overlaps partially with the data line adjacent thereto.

A display device is disclosed, which comprises: a substrate; a first metal conductive layer disposed on the substrate; a semiconductor layer disposed on the first metal conductive layer and having a top surface; and a second metal conductive layer disposed on the top surface and comprising a first part and a second part. Herein, a first extending direction is defined as a direction that the first part extends toward the second part, the first part has a maximum length in a first region that the first part overlaps the first metal conductive layer along the first extending direction, the first part has a maximum width in a second region that the first part overlaps the semiconductor layer along a second direction vertical to the first extending direction, and the maximum length is greater than the maximum width and less than or equal to twice of the maximum width.

Display device with a thin film transistor structure

A display panel includes a liquid crystal layer positioned between first and second substrates. The first substrate comprises scan lines and data lines intersected to define pixel regions. Each pixel region comprises an electrode having two extending portions parallel to the extending direction of the data lines and one bending portion positioned between and connecting the two extending portions. A dark pattern including a first dark pattern and plural second dark patterns is generated when a light passes the pixel region. The first dark pattern is corresponding to the bending portion and parallel to the scan line. The second dark patterns correspond to the two extending portions. The first dark pattern has the first and second widths in the first (half of all gray levels) and second gray levels (maximum gray level), respectively. A ratio of the first width to the second width is 2.1 to 3.0.

A liquid crystal (LCD) panel is provided. The LCD panel has a plurality of pixels. One of the pixels includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes a first electrode layer and a first alignment layer covering the first electrode layer. The second substrate includes a second electrode layer and a second alignment layer covering the second electrode layer. The second electrode layer has a first electrode pattern and a second electrode pattern. The first electrode pattern and the second electrode pattern are separated. The first electrode pattern has a convex edge. The second electrode pattern has a concave edge. The shape of the convex edge is complementary to the shape of the concave edge. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate.

Liquid crystal display

A display panel comprises a first electrode on the first substrate and a first alignment layer on the first electrode. The first alignment layer is disposed on the first electrode and comprises a first alignment area and a second alignment area. An alignment direction of the first alignment area is opposite to an alignment direction of the second alignment area. The first electrode is disposed in the first alignment area and comprises a first trunk electrode and at least two first branch electrodes respectively connected to two sides of the first trunk electrode. At least one of the first branch electrodes comprises a first distal end and a first connection end connected to the first trunk electrode. An included angle between the extending direction from the first distal end to the first connection end and the alignment direction of the first alignment area is between 50&#xb0; and 80&#xb0;.
