An infrastructure provider associates a set of device identification numbers to a first radio access provider in a subscription database of the infrastructure provider. The infrastructure provider also sets the first radio access provider as a preferred roaming partner in a SIM that comprises a subscriber identifier with a network identifier of the infrastructure provider. The SIM is provided for use in the device, to enable access to the network infrastructure over a radio access network of the first radio access provider based on the subscriber identifier and the preferred roaming partner in the SIM.

Method and arrangement for connectivity in a communication network

A method and apparatus for handling data between a radio network and a service network, the data comprising Network Aware data. A gateway node in a mobile core network receives a message from the radio network. It then determines whether the message comprises Network Aware data. If it does, then the message is routed to a Packet Data Network Gateway node configured to handle Network Aware data. If it doesn't, then the message is routed to a Packet Data Network Gateway node for message handling. This ensures that non-Network Aware data is handled using regular message handling, and Network Aware data is handled by nodes configured to handle Network Aware data.

The invention includes a method of providing media data of a SIP-based Auxiliary Service from an Auxiliary Application Server, AS, to a recipient peer of an established communication exchange between peers. An incoming standardized call signal frame comprising a first parameter field including a directory number is reconstructed. The directory number in the first parameter field is replaced with the unique routing number of the mobile telephone switching center within whose service area the mobile subscriber roams. A unique international mobile subscriber identity and the directory number are inserted in a second parameter field. This implies a static addressing principle in which the routing address will also contain directly the number of the called subscriber. This facilitates restoration of certain registers after a failure.
