An aromatized food package is provided by providing a package body member part which defines a first and second cavity, inserting a food product into the first cavity, dosing a liquid mixture of food-acceptable aroma and a carrier consisting essentially of low boiling point solvent, into the second cavity, pulling a vacuum within at least the second cavity to cause the solvent in the second cavity to substantially evaporate while leaving aroma composition within the cavity, and sealing the cavities with a cover so that the cavities are separated one from the other and which, when removed, opens both cavities.

Freezing of material into blocks

The present invention relates to extruded frozen pellets of sauce and a method for freezing pellets of sauce. This method includes dosing a layer of sauce onto a refrigerated surface, partially freezing the sauce on the surface to cause a generation of ice crystals and an increase in the viscosity of the unfrozen sauce, removing the partially frozen sauce from the surface, mixing the frozen and unfrozen sauce to form a shapeable sauce, forming the shapeable sauce into pellets, and freezing the pellets. The invention also relates to a method wherein the sauce is fully frozen in a thin layer and subsequently mixed with unfrozen sauce to form the shapeable sauce.

The present invention relates to a package which contains a food product and an aromatized headspace. The headspace includes an aromatised food-acceptable inert gas and food-acceptable protective gas. The invention also relates to a process and an apparatus for introducing an aroma into the headspace of a package containing a food product during the gas packing of the food product by introducing a modified atmosphere into the headspace, and introducing a food-acceptable aroma dissolved in or mixed with a gaseous food-acceptable inert gas into the headspace of the package.

A process for introducing an aroma into the headspace of a package containing a food product during the gas packaging of the food product which comprises introducing a modified atmosphere into the headspace, and introducing a food acceptable aroma dissolved in a liquid food acceptable gas under pressure into the headspace of the package.
