A rearview assembly includes a rearview device having at least one of a display and an electro-optic element. A mount is pivotally coupled with the rearview device. The mount includes a receiving aperture for receiving an installation tool. A mounting button is operably coupled with a vehicle and is configured to engage the mount, wherein during installation, the installation tool is used to rotate the mount into engagement with the mounting button.

Rearview device mount and attachment method

A vehicle display assembly may comprise a transparent element defining a viewing surface, a display element disposed behind the transparent element, and a printed circuit board in electrical communication with the display element. The display element is configured to generate an image visible through the transparent element. The vehicle display assembly may be in communication with at least one of a vehicle sensor and a vehicle computer. The images appearing in the display element may change orientation based on the presence or absence of a vehicle occupant.

A rearview device having a rearview display. A rearview device attachment assembly is connected with the rearview display and includes a mount and an attachment clip coupled to the mount. The attachment clip includes a base and first and second opposing flex members extending from the base, each including an arcuate flex portion extending from the base. A connecting portion extends from the arcuate flex portion at an angle toward the base. An engagement portion extends away from the connecting portion at an angle away from the base. First and second protrusions project from the mount, each extending through first and second slots, respectively, in the base. The first and second protrusions are in abutting contact with the engagement portion of the first and second opposing flex members, respectively, thereby forcing the first and second opposing flex members at least partially away from the base.

An antivibration device for supporting loads and damping vibration between external elements. The antivibration device comprises two rigid members and a resilient body for supporting loads and partially damping vibrations The antivibration device also comprises a damping unit for further damping of vibrations coincidentally with the resilient body. The antivibration also has an inhibitor apparatus which may be operated to drive the damping unit between two positions to selectively allow the transmission of loads and vibrations to the damping unit.

A hydraulic anti-vibration support comprises at least one elastomer spring body made of a high temperature-resistant material which connects a first rigid strength member and a second rigid strength member. The first rigid strength member includes a piston which comprises a rod terminated by an end member, and a second rigid strength member has an opening which is traversed by said piston. A liquid-filled module is mounted inside a casing which is secured to the second rigid strength member, and includes a working chamber defined in part by a substantially dome shaped elastomer wall which has a central area in contact with the end member of the piston without any mechanical securing. Preferably, the high temperature-resistant material comprises silicone and is in non-adhesive contact with the first and the second rigid strength members.
