A valve for use in oil and gas production or similar applications includes a plug or other flow barrier disposed in a cavity of a hollow valve body with a metal-to-metal sealing surface that is not reliant on any rubberized or elastomeric material to effect a seal.

Valve with pressure differential seating

A valve for use in oil and gas production or similar applications may include a ball disposed in a cavity of a hollow valve body and a seat comprising a curved surface with a normal component and a normal surface with a surface area larger than a projected normal surface area of the normal component of the curved surface.

A method for installing a valve for use in oil and gas production or similar applications includes inserting seats and biasing members into a cavity of the valve and causing the seats to moving axially apart from each other, such that the biasing members are compressed and the flow barrier of the valve may be installed between the seats.

Valve assembly method

A frac manifold isolation tool configured to connect to a zipper spool, and comprising a mandrel that is axially movable and a hydraulic setting tool configured to move the mandrel from an open position, in which fracturing fluid is allowed to flow from a zipper spool to a connected frac tree, to a closed position, in which the mandrel and its associated cup tool prevent fracturing fluid from flowing to the connected frac tree.

Frac manifold isolation tool

A high-pressure float valve for positioning downhole within a well to control fluid flow includes a valve cage having a pair of side seal grooves each for receiving an exterior elastomeric seal therein and a plurality of cutouts provided on the top end of the valve cage. The valve cage can undergo nitride heat treatment and the internal components are made from 1018 hot rolled steel. The dimensions of a Model 5RF plunger-type valve and Model 5RG flapper-type float valve can be modified to meet the high pressure of a 10 ksi rating.

High pressure float valve

An extendable spool is disclosed. The length of the extendable spool is able to continuously varied. The extendable spool accounts for length variances in flow lines by extending the flow line rather than redirecting the flow. Because the flow direction does not make any turns, erosion is minimized on both the extendable spool and downstream parts. The extendable spool is readily scalable from small diameters to large diameters. Because of this, it requires fewer lines and therefore less setup time to account for length differences between large diameter lines.

A reciprocating plunger pump fluid end having increased material thicknesses in typical high stress concentration areas includes locating valves in spherically segmented shaped suction and discharge bores adjacent to chamfered transition areas to provide for reduced stress concentrations, resistance to fatigue failure and erosion and ease of access for maintenance. Among other features the housing includes a valve retainer assembly integrally mounted inside the housing which includes a profile to reduce stresses in the bores and facilitate access for replacement of internal components.

Plunger pump fluid end

A universal atmospheric deployment device ('UADD') for use in oil and gas production or similar applications is provided. In one embodiment, the UADD includes a number of storage carriers disposed around a pathway that can be deployed into a well bore. The figures and art described herein show that this novel feature can increase the speed and usefulness of dispatching tools down a well bore, and also decrease down time to install or retrieve these devices. This UADD also removes personnel from the hazardous area, allowing for remote deployment of tools and devices.

Universal atmospheric deployment device

A frac zipper manifold bridge connector comprises two bridge spools for connecting a well configuration unit of a frac zipper manifold to a frac tree of a wellhead. The connector comprises multiple connections involving threaded flanges, such that the orientation of the bridge spools may be adjusted to ensure that they are correctly aligned with the frac tree. The bridge connector further comprises one or more flow diverters to decrease turbulence and reduce erosion.
