Disclosed herein are systems and methods for respiration-controlled virtual experiences. In an embodiment, a controller presents a virtual experience via a user interface that is perceptible to a user. The controller receives a respiration-data stream from a respiration device with which the user is operably engaged. The respiration-data stream includes one or more respiration-parameter values of one or more respiration parameters associated with ongoing respiration of the user. The controller updates the virtual experience based at least in part on the one or more respiration-parameter values in the respiration-data stream. The virtual experience includes a plurality of sequential phases that have an associated phase sequence. Among the sequential phases is an active-induction phase that corresponds in time to the user receiving anesthetic induction via the respiration device, as well as one or more phases that each precede the active-induction phase.

Systems and methods for respiration-controlled virtual experiences

A meal packaging and presentation system includes a base, a front panel connected to the base at a low front edge seam, a first side panel connected to the base at a first low side edge seam, a second side panel connected to the base at a second low side edge seam, a rear panel connected to the base at a low rear edge seam, a first top flap connected to the first side panel at a first top side edge seam, a second top flap connected to the second side panel at a second top side edge seam, a front top flap connected to the front panel at a top front edge seam, and a rear top flap that connects to the rear panel at a top rear edge. Meal packaging and presentation systems and methods

A support surface assembly includes a housing including a chamber and an opening. The support surface assembly also includes a support surface retractably coupled to the housing between a deployed position and a stored position. The support surface includes a plurality of slats pivotally coupled together, wherein each slat comprises a first end opening and an opposing second end opening. The support surface assembly also includes a plurality of rods associated with a corresponding slat of the plurality of slats. Each rod is positioned entirely within the first end opening of a first slat in the stored position and each rod is positioned partially within the second end opening of an adjacent second slat in the deployed position.

Retractable support surface and method of assembling the same

An on-board virtual reality system is provided for use on-board a vehicle during a trip. The system includes a user input unit, a trip information input unit, a display unit, and a processing unit. The user input unit is configured to receive user input associated with a particular user. The trip information input unit is configured to acquire trip information corresponding to the trip. The display unit is configured to provide a virtual reality display to the user. Systems and methods for in-flight virtual reality displays for passenger and crew assistance

An aircraft dining system and method are configured to allow a passenger for a scheduled flight of an aircraft to order one or more items from restaurants within an airport. The aircraft dining system includes an order fulfiller including an order fulfillment control unit that is configured to receive an order for an item from a restaurant within the airport from the passenger for the scheduled flight so that the item is delivered to the aircraft or an area proximate to the aircraft prior to the aircraft departing the airport. In at least one embodiment, an ordering device includes an ordering control unit that is configured to allow the passenger to submit the order.

Aircraft dining systems and methods

A robot system is provided that is configured for use on-board a vehicle during a trip of the vehicle. The vehicle includes a cabin. The robot system includes a body, a transportation system, a communication link, an interaction system, and a control system. The transportation system is coupled to the body and configured to move the body through at least a portion of the cabin. The communication link is configured to receive trip information. The interaction system is configured to interact with at least one of a passenger or a crew member disposed within the cabin during trip. The control system is configured to operate the robot system to perform a crew assistance task during the use of the vehicle responsive to at least one of the trip information or information received from the at least one of the passenger or crew member.

A pillow includes a support body. A shape-adapting frame is within the support body. The shape-adapting frame is configured to be moved into and maintained in a desired position. At least one sensor is configured to detect at least one condition. The sensor(s) may be in communication with a monitoring control unit of a monitoring system.
