A device, method and system for controlling provisioning of a mobile device is provided. An example devices determines, upon power-up, a status of a provisioning flag. The example device, in response to the provisioning flag comprising a first state associated with an out-of-box update mode, implements a first provisioning stage associated with a first communication system according to the out-of-box update mode. The example device, in response to the provisioning flag comprising a second state associated with a post-deployment update mode, implements the first provisioning stage associated with the first communication system according to the post-deployment update mode different from the out-of-box update mode. The example device implements a second provisioning stage for one or more of the second communication system and an operating system implemented at the mobile device.

Device, method and system for controlling provisioning of a mobile device

An ordering system () generates subscription offerings and receives an order entry in response thereto, for configuring a plurality of mobile communication devices () and gateways. A service management system () having a service management controller processes the order entry and establishes subscription services in response thereto. The subscription services are based on one or more of features, bearer providers, and capabilities associated with the plurality of mobile communication devices and gateways. The service management system () manages the selection of optimal bearer providers as the gateways for the transport of features requested in the order. A billing service () is adjusted in accordance with deployment and management of the mobile communication devices, including the transfer of mission critical functions from narrowband bearer providers to broadband bearer providers.

System and method for subscription based deployment and management of a communication system

A process for scheduling downloads for communication devices connected to a download server through a common access point. In operation, the download server receives a download request from a first communication device. The download request includes a unique access point identifier of a first access point through which the first communication device is connected to the download server. The download server identifies an access point record that is linked to the unique access point identifier of the first access point and updates the identified access point record to include the first communication device in a communication devices list included in the identified access point record. When a count of communication devices included in the communication devices list is greater than the predetermined count threshold, the download server delays an execution of a download service corresponding to the download request received from the first communication device.

Method of scheduling downloads for communication devices connected to a download server through a common access point

A method and apparatus for pairing devices is provided herein. During operation, an initial orientation of the two devices is determined. If the initial orientation of the two devices match a predetermined orientation offset from each other, then after a period of time, the orientation of the devices is again determined. If a final orientation of the two devices match a second predetermined orientation offset (e.g., devices are aligned), and both devices have rotated, then the two devices are paired.

Method and apparatus for orientation-based pairing of devices

A radio configured to dynamically control cancellation of undesired signals in an audio stream. The radio includes a noise cancellation processor configured to receive an audio stream from a user and to alter information in the audio stream by filtering out undesired signals in the audio stream. The radio also includes a receiving component configured to receive a data packet from a remote device, to retrieve configuration information from the data packet, and to dynamically apply the configuration information, while the radio is being used by a user, to settings associated with the noise cancellation processor. A dynamically enabled noise cancellation processor suppresses undesired signals associated with a subsequent incoming audio stream provided by the user and transmits at least one of an altered audio stream or an unaltered audio stream to the remote device.
