A power system including a load terminal, a sensor, and an electronic processor. The load terminal is configured to electrically connect to a load device. The sensor is configured to sense an electrical characteristic of the load device. The electronic processor is configured to receive, via the sensor, the electrical characteristic of the load device, supply power, via the load terminal, to the load device, discontinue supply of power to the load device when the electrical characteristic of the load device crosses a predetermined threshold, and enter a standby mode upon discontinuing supply of power to the load device. Wherein when in standby mode the electronic processor, at predetermined time intervals, determines if the load device crosses the predetermined threshold a second time.

System and method for controlling an electrical receptacle

A lighting fixture is provided. The lighting fixture includes a light source and an environmental detection system. The environmental detection system is coupled to a continuous supply of electrical power. The environmental detection system includes one or more sensors operable to detect a parameter associated with a space in which the lighting fixture is located.

A method for controlling operation of a lighting system is provided. The method includes operating the lighting system in a first mode during a time period to provide a first light output. The first output can be a blend of HINS light and non-HINS light. The method includes determining a dosage amount of HINS light provided during the time period. Furthermore, the method includes operating the lighting system in a second mode to provide a second lighting output. The second light output can be HINS light or a blend of HINS light and non-HINS light. Furthermore, spectral energy associated with HINS light in the second light output is greater than spectral energy associated with the HINS light in the first light output.

A bladeless ceiling fan is provided. The bladeless ceiling fan includes a housing configured to accommodate an electric motor. The housing can define one or more vents through which air enters an interior of the housing. The bladeless ceiling fan can further include an airfoil defining an interior passage. In addition, the bladeless ceiling fan includes one or more conduits. The one or more conduits extend from the housing to the airfoil such that air within the interior of the housing flows through the one or more conduits and into the interior passage defined by the airfoil.

An assembly includes a first strain sensor configurable on the turbine component, the first strain sensor including at least two reference points and having a first dimension. An initial value of the first dimension of the second strain sensor is different from an initial value of the first dimension of the first strain sensor.
