This invention relates to a pick and place gripper device and a method for picking up and re-positioning an item carried by a support surface. The gripper device includes a base, at least one jaw pivotally mounted to the base having at least one leading edge, at least one belt of flexible material being wrapped around at least the leading edge of the at least one jaw such that it is sandwiched between the at least one jaw and the item when the at least one jaw penetrates below the item and as the at least one jaw moves below the item there is substantially no relative sliding movement between the sandwiched portion of the at least one belt and the item, wherein the leading edge of the at least one jaw, when coming into contact with the support surface, is configured to adjust to the support surface when penetrating between the item and the support surface.

Gripper device and a method for picking up and re-positioning an item carried by a support surface

A tray feeding system having a buffer conveyor for trays including a belt with spaced apart free running rollers having a rotation axis perpendicular to the conveying direction. These rollers extend upward from the belt such that the trays partly rest on the rollers. A tray conveyor receiving end is adjacent to an outputting end of the buffer conveyor where items are placed into the trays by a tray filler. A roller interactor is positioned below and adjacent to the surface of the buffer conveyor belt at an outputting end to engage with the rollers at the outputting end area when the buffer conveyor belts move forward rotating the rollers positioned within the outputting end area accelerating the trays on the buffer conveyor within the outputting end area of the buffer conveyor towards the receiving end of the tray conveyor.

A gripping device arranged for gripping an article, such as a food article, in particular a piece of meat, said gripping devicecomprising at least two gripping partspivotally suspended with respect to each other. At least one of the gripping partsis pivotally suspended and comprises a gripping armand a gripping clamp, wherein the gripping armis adapted for carrying the gripping clamp. The gripping devicefurther comprises a flexible belt-shaped material, which extends at least between lower parts of the at least two gripping parts.
