A torque absorber is described for absorbing a rotational torque that occurs when tubular elements are screwed together, the torque absorber comprising at least one cylinder and at least one piston movably arranged in the cylinder. The at least one cylinder is curved in the longitudinal direction of the cylinder and the at least one piston has a corresponding curved shape, such that the at least one piston can be moved into and out of the at least one cylinder. There is also described an apparatus comprising one or more torque absorbers for absorbing a rotational torque that occurs between two parts in the apparatus on the screwing together of tubular elements.

A pipe-gripper includes an elongated housing. The pipe gripper further includes a rotor positioned within the elongated housing. The rotor has a periphery and a longitudinal groove extending axially therethrough. The longitudinal groove has an inside face and a groove mouth, The groove mouth has width A. In addition, the pipe gripper includes a toothed rim, the toothed rim positioned on the periphery of the rotor and interrupted by the longitudinal groove. Further, the pipe gripper includes a clamp assembly. The clamp assembly includes at least one clamp and positioned within the rotor. The pipe-gripper also includes a rotor drive, the rotor drive positioned within the elongated housing. In addition, the pipe gripper includes a transmission assembly, the transmission assembly in engagement with the rotor drive at toothed rim engagement points, the distance between toothed rim engagement points being distance B, distance B being larger than distance A.

A fluid pump comprising a plurality of piston cylinders (), wherein each individual cylinder has a piston rod () with a piston () arranged in the cylinder and a valve housing () mounted at the end of the cylinder opposite the piston rod, and a drive arrangement for the piston rods, said drive arrangement comprising two main gearwheels () which mesh and rotate in opposite directions. The present fluid pump is characterized in that the reciprocating motion of the piston rods (), which extend in pairs in opposite directions, is effected with the aid of two beams () that are fixed to the end of the respective pair of piston rods opposite the pistons (), and which extend at right angles relative to the piston rods, and that the beams are connected to the main gearwheels () by shaft pins () which move in pairs in guides () provided in the longitudinal direction of the respective beam. The guide () may extend in the shape of a sine curve.
