Embodiments herein relate to a method implemented by a wireless communication device. The wireless communication device transmits data to a radio node of a wireless communication network. The wireless communication device monitors for a positive acknowledgement or a negative acknowledgement of the data from the radio node. The wireless communication device retransmits the data to the radio node when said monitoring indicates reception of a negative acknowledgement of the data. The wireless communication device refrains from retransmitting the data to the radio node when said monitoring indicates reception of a positive acknowledgement of the data. The wireless communication device also refrains from retransmitting the data to the radio node when said monitoring indicates neither reception of a positive acknowledgement of the data nor reception of a negative acknowledgement of the data.

Wireless communication device, network node and methods for handling data transmissions

The present disclosure provides systems and methods for scheduling transmissions to and/or transmissions from user equipment. The user equipment communicates with a network via a first radio processing function (RPF) and a second RPF. The method includes determining a first aggregate bit rate for the UE. The method provides for sending to the first RPF first aggregate bit rate information (ABRI) for the UE. The first ABRI: 1) indicates that the first aggregate bit rate satisfies a bit threshold condition, 2) indicates that the first aggregate bit rate does not satisfy the condition, or 3) identifies the determined first aggregate bit rate for the UE.

Bit rate scheduling for a user equipment

Disclosed is a method and corresponding devices and computer programs for determining antenna weights for transmissions with punctured signals. The method comprises extracting, from a signal reception model for signals transmitted by at least two communication units, at least one of the communication units transmitting with punctured signals, a signal orthogonality loss quantity introduced by the punctured signals. The method also comprises calculating, based on the extracted signal orthogonality loss quantity, a covariance matrix quantifying the signal orthogonality loss between signals transmitted by the at least two communication units. The method also comprises determining, based on the covariance matrix, antenna weights for data symbols in the signals. Also disclosed is a method and corresponding devices and computer programs for designing a beamformer based on the determined antenna weights, wherein the beamformer suppresses the interference caused by a signal orthogonality loss induced by the transmission of punctured signals.

Methods and devices for handling transmissions with non-orthogonalty losses

Embodiments herein relate to a method implemented by a wireless communication device (). The wireless communication device () transmits data to a radio node () of a wireless communication network (). A method performed by a node in a wireless communication network of estimating parameters used for determining a signal-to-interference measure at a communication device served by a base station, and a node performing the method. The method comprises acquiring an estimate of channel condition between the communication device and the serving base station, and between the communication device and at least one base station of a neighbouring cell, estimating the signal-to-interference measure using the estimate of the respective channel condition, and acquired output power and Physical Resource Block (PRB) utilization of each of the base stations, and receiving an indication of quality of a channel via which the communication device is served by the base station. The method further comprises determining whether a change in the estimate of the signal-to-interference measure is required based on the indication of channel quality, and updating the estimate of the channel condition.

A network node identifies a fixed periodic pattern to be used for scheduling a half-duplex (HD) user equipment (UE), the fixed periodic pattern defining a sequence of at least one downlink (DL) subframe, then at least one guard period, and then at least one uplink (UL) subframe. The network node then performs DL assignments for the network node according to the fixed periodic pattern and transmits UL grants to the UE according to the fixed periodic pattern.

The method comprises obtaining a plurality of measured noise and interference power values, IN values, of signals received at the receiver in one or more frequency sub-bands, determining IN for a lowest X percentile of the measured IN values, and applying the determined IN for the lowest X percentile as a measure of the noise. A network node and a method performed thereby for controlling operation of a low power node are provided. The network node and the low power node are operable in a wireless communication network, wherein the low power node has at least two modes of operation, an active mode where the low power node is in full operation, and a passive mode where the low power node is discoverable by wireless devices in the network but not available for initial access or incoming handovers. The method comprises receiving () a measurement report from at least one wireless device, the measurement report comprising a measurement related to the low power node; and determining () the operation mode of the low power node based on the received measurement report. A method in a base station for adapting link adaptation of a transmission between a user equipment and the base station is provided. The link adaptation relates to an initial value of a Block Error Rate, BLER, related to the transmission. The base station decides that the user equipment is in congestion responsive to a scheduling bit rate for the transmission in relation to a rate of data packets arriving to or being sent by the user equipment being below a first threshold. Responsive to the user equipment being in congestion, the base station adapts the link adaptation by increasing the value of the BLER of the link adaptation in relation to the initial value, until the user equipment is out of congestion or until the base station detects that any one of the user equipment and the base station tries to send high priority data.
