Methods of identifying electrical connections between primary ports of a radio frequency circuit and primary ports of a radio are provided. A method of identifying the electrical connections includes receiving a radio frequency signal via each of the primary ports of the radio frequency circuit. Moreover, the method includes providing, by the radio frequency circuit, different responses to the radio frequency signal that is received via the primary ports, respectively, of the radio frequency circuit. In some embodiments, the different responses are different frequency responses or different delay responses. Related radio frequency circuits are also provided.

Antenna systems are provided. An antenna system includes a beamforming array having a plurality of vertical columns of radiating elements that are each configured to transmit at least three antenna beams per polarization. Moreover, the antenna system includes a beamforming radio having a plurality of radio frequency ports per polarization that are coupled to and fewer than the vertical columns.

Base station antennas are provided herein. A base station antenna includes a plurality of vertical columns of low-band radiating elements configured to transmit RF signals in a first frequency band. The vertical columns of high-band radiating elements extend in parallel with the vertical columns of low-band radiating elements in a vertical direction.

The base station antenna includes a phase shifter that is electrically connected to one of the vertical columns of radiating elements. A base station antenna (BSA) system includes a radio-frequency (RF) generator having a plurality of power-amplifying circuits therein, and an antenna, which includes a plurality of columns of radiating elements. These radiating elements are electrically coupled by RF signal routing to a corresponding plurality of ports of the antenna that receive a corresponding plurality of RF input signals. These RF input signals have respective amplitudes and phases that support the concurrent generation of three spaced-apart RF beams by the antenna and are derived from respective RF signals generated by the plurality of power-amplifying circuits. The RF input signals including: (i) a first RF input signal defined by at least two linearly superposed RF signals of equivalent frequency having unequal combinations of amplitude and phase weighting, and (ii) a second RF input signal defined by at least two linearly superposed RF signals of equivalent frequency having unequal combinations of amplitude and phase weighting.

Disclosed herein are exemplary embodiments of interlocking spacers that may be used for suspending transmission lines of a feed network between electrically-conducting ground planes of an antenna assembly. Also disclosed are exemplary embodiments of antenna assemblies including such interlocking spacers. An exemplary embodiment of an antenna assembly generally includes a feed network including one or more transmission lines, a first ground plane, and a second ground plane spaced apart from the first ground plane with a space therebetween. At least one pair of spacers is configured to be interlocked to one another when positioned on opposite sides of a substrate including the transmission lines of the feed network. The spacers are operable for suspending the transmission lines in the space between the ground planes.

There is disclosed an electromagnetic transmission line arrangement with a phase shifter, comprising at least one conductive branch line () extending from a junction point () to an associated output port, for the propagation of electromagnetic signals in a frequency band along said branch line. The phase shifter includes at least one dielectric body () which is mounted so as to be movable sideways in a transverse direction into a delaying position at least partly covering said branch line (). The longitudinal distribution of its dielectric material (&#x2208;) is adapted to cause, when being moved transversally into said delay position, a controlled phase shift but also to secure, by way of said selected longitudinal distribution of its dielectric material in conjunction with said at least one branch line, an input impedance matching of said transmission line arrangement. The transmission line arrangement can be used in the feeding network to a microwave antenna.

The present invention relates to an antenna arrangement connectable to a transceiver for transmitting and receiving RF signals in at least two separate frequency bands. The antenna arrangement has at least two sets of antenna elements arranged on a reflector, and the antenna elements are arranged in an interleaved configuration along a single column. The two separate frequency bands are substantially non-overlapping but relatively close to each other, and the distance between adjacent antenna elements in said column is substantially the same along the column.
