The invention relates to a length measuring device with a vernier caliper, a hollow profile, on which the vernier caliper is displaceably mounted externally so that it is capable of being brought into contact with an object to be measured in terms of its length, an inner slide, which is displaceably mounted inside the hollow profile, a magnet arrangement, which couples the vernier caliper and inner slide magnetically, so that the inner slide follows every movement of the vernier caliper along the hollow profile, a measuring means for measuring the position of the inner slide along the hollow profile, and a display, visible in the surrounding space of the hollow profile, of the length determined by the measuring means in accordance with the measured position of the inner slide.

Length measuring device

The method and device are used to adjust a weighing apparatus. A weight indicated by the weighing apparatus is adapted to the gravitation in the area of an installation location of the weighing apparatus. The adaptation is carried out using a code that can be evaluated by the weighing apparatus.

Method and device for adjusting a weighing apparatus

The present invention provides a bioelectrical impedance measuring apparatus for determining composition data of a human body, the apparatus including a plurality of electrodes and measuring circuitry which inject, through two electrodes, alternating current into the body, and which determine, with two other electrodes on different limbs, the resulting voltages, and which determine therefrom the impedance of body segments. In one apparatus, two hand contact bodies are disclosed, each of which includes a hand seating surface for placement of a hand inner surface thereon, each hand seating surface includes an electrically insulating separating wall extending over a part of the length of the hand seating surface, the separating wall being adapted to project into the space between middle and ring finger when a hand is placed on the hand seating surface, and on both sides of the separating wall an electrode is included.

Bioelectrical impedance measuring apparatus

The present invention provides bioelectrical impedance measuring apparatus for determining composition data of the human body, the apparatus including at least eight electrodes, a pair of electrodes being assigned to each of four limbs, measuring circuitry having current sources and current and voltage measuring circuitry which may selectively be coupled to the electrodes, and a control and analysis unit which is arranged to apply, according to a plurality of predetermined measuring programs, current to two electrodes and to determine the resulting voltages with two other electrodes on different limbs and to determine the impedance of body segments based thereon. The control and analysis unit is further arranged to determine, in an advance measurement by applying current via two electrodes and measuring the resulting current through the applying electrodes and/or voltages on the other electrodes, which electrodes have contact, and to select, on the basis of the determined configuration of electrodes with contact, such matching measuring programs, in which matching measuring programs only electrodes are used for current application and voltage measurement which are contained in the determined configuration of electrodes having contact.
