Device for pollution control where a polluted stream of air or gas is purified from both oxidisable material and nitrogen oxides simultaneously by a combination of regenerative high temperature treatment and catalytic treatment.

Pollution control

An air box in a regenerative thermal oxidiser has one or several beds of a heat-storing and heat-transferring material. The air box is connected with a gas inlet/outlet and comprises a gas permeable surface that is turned towards one of the beds. The air box has distribution devices provided in the air box.

The invention relates to a viewing instrument wherein the image being viewed by the user may be frozen owing to the provision of a memory function. In connection with the freezing of the image, the latter may be magnified in such a manner that a highly magnified image may be viewed without such discomfort as is due to shaking movements of the image while the user may perform a wide-angle-of-vision search for an image to be magnified.

Method and apparatus for treating a gas flow including guiding the gas flow through a gas treatment unit () adapted for filtering particles in the gas flow, and eliminating the particles in the gas treatment unit (). Particles are filtered from the gas flow by means of accumulating the particles in, or in connection with, a number of ducts () forming part of the gas treatment unit () during passage of the gas flow through the gas treatment unit (). The temperature of the gas flow is controlled along the ducts () to a value that provides combustion of the particles, and eliminates the filtered particles in the gas treatment unit () by means of combustion in the ducts (). An improved treatment of a gas flow is provided, in particular in connection with exhaust gas purification in a diesel engine, for eliminating particles in its exhaust gases.

Method and device for treatment of a gas flow

Method and arrangement for treatment of a gas-flow in connection with a NOreducing catalyst () that include guiding the gas-flow through an exhaust gas treatment unit () having several ducts () with exchange of heat between the ducts (). The ducts () are connected to an inlet and an outlet, respectively, at the exhaust gas treatment unit () so that the gas-flow occurs during exchange of heat between incoming and outgoing flows. Reduction of NOcompounds in the gas-flow is accomplished by means of the NOreducing catalyst (). An adaptation of the temperature of the exhaust gas treatment unit () is affected to the prevailing operating condition of the NOreducing catalyst (). The method and apparatus enable provision of the required exhaust gas temperature for NOreduction, while also accommodating the temperature limitations imposed by sulphur absorption and regeneration subsystems.
