A rigid submarine power cable joint including: an outer casing having a first axial end face and a second axial end face at an opposite axial end of the outer casing relative to the first axial end face, wherein the first axial end face includes a single opening configured to receive a multi-core dynamic submarine power cable, and wherein the second axial end face includes two openings, each configured to receive a respective single core submarine power cable.

A bend stiffener including a body tapering from a base to a top. The body has a central through-opening, extending from the base to the top, which is arranged to receive a subsea cable or umbilical, and a first bend indicator arranged on the body. The first bend indicator has a proximal portion having a fixed end which is fixed relative to the body and a distal portion which has a free end. The first bend indicator extending from the fixed end to the free end in the axial direction of the body. The distal portion covers a bend indication portion of the bend stiffener, which bend indication portion has a first visual appearance, and which distal portion has a second visual appearance. The first visual appearance differs from a visual appearance of an area of the bend stiffener surrounding the bend indication portion.

A tool for extracting armour wires from a cable having an armouring layer includes a curved beak for grasping an armour wire, and an elongated body having a bottom surface provided with a protruding tip for separating two neighboring armour wires. The tip is protrudes away from the bottom surface and is elongated in a direction parallel to the bottom surface.

A joint including two sections of an electric power cable, each cable section including at least one core member surrounded by a first armoring layer for protecting the core member from tensile forces acting on the cable, the first armoring layer including a plurality of armoring wires arranged along the length of the cable and twisted in a first direction with respect to the longitudinal direction of the cable. The joint includes at least one core joint between the core members of the cable sections, and an outer mechanical casing surrounding the at least one core joint and mechanically connected to the first armoring layers of the cable sections, and a second armoring layer positioned in an area neighboring the casing, surrounding at least one of the cable sections, and having one end mechanically connected to the casing and the other end terminated at a distance from the casing.

A joint arrangement for a submarine cable, in which armoured submarine cables are joined together, the joint arrangement including a tubular enclosure into which two submarine cables to be joined are to extend and inside which conductors of the two submarine cables are joined, wherein the enclosure includes a current-carrying part arranged so as to be able of conducting at least a part of a current conducted by the armouring of the cables, and a reinforcement part provided to provide sufficient mechanical strength to the enclosure and made of a material of lower electrical conductivity than the material of the current-carrying part. The current-carrying part is integrated in the reinforcement part and forms a single unit therewith.
