Disclosed are chromatography systems employing a releasable couplingfor holding a fluid tubing to a spigot, the coupling comprising: a cylindrical inner componentfor accepting a fluid tubing, said inner component including a resiliently deflectable portionarranged to urge an outer surface of the tubing toward a spigot; and a cylindrical collarhaving and internal through-aperturefor slideably accepting the inner component, the aperture and resilient portion having complementary surface formations which in a first position of the collar mounted to the inner component provide for said resilient deflection in use, and which in a second different position do not cause said deflection, the coupling being characterized in that the collar comprises a collar flangeextending outwardly away from the aperture of a size allowing manual manipulation of the collar between the first and second positions. The present invention relates to a nozzle for an air trapping device configured to remove air from a fluid, the nozzle comprising a body having an input opening configured to receive the fluid and an output opening configured to distribute the fluid along an edge of the output opening, wherein the edge comprises a control element configured to reduce surface tension of the fluid. A pinch valve is adapted to hold at least one flexible tube in a tube holding room () and comprises a plunger () adapted to protrude into the tube holding room and pinch the tube against an opposite side wall () thereof. The plunger () is controllable to be positioned in at least two different positions, an open position where the tube in the tube holding room () is not pinched, and a pinching position where the tube is pinched between the plunger () and the opposing wall (). The pinch valve further comprises a tube retaining means () adapted to prevent the tube from escaping from the tube holding room (), especially when the plunger () is in the open position, and which can be pivoted into at least two different positions, a non locking position used during insertion of a tube into the tube holding room (), and a locking position for retaining a tube inside the tube holding room () even when the plunger is in an open position.
