A test chamber and a method for conditioning air in a temperature-insulated test space of a test chamber, which is sealable against an environment and serves for receiving test material, a temperature ranging from &#x2212;20&#xb0; C. to +180&#xb0; C. being produced within the test space by means of a cooling device of a temperature control device of the test chamber, using a cooling circuit with carbon dioxide (CO) as a cooling agent, using a heat exchanger in the test space, using a low-pressure compressor and using a high-pressure compressor downstream of the low-pressure compressor, using a gas cooler, using a storage means for the cooling agent and using an expansion valve, the temperature in the test space being controlled and/or regulated by means of a control device of the test chamber. A gaseous and/or liquid cooling agent is dosed in the storage means by means of a high-pressure valve of the cooling circuit downstream of the gas cooler, the storage means being connected to a medium-pressure side of the cooling circuit upstream of the high-pressure compressor and downstream of the low-pressure compressor via a medium-pressure bypass of the cooling circuit, the gaseous cooling agent being dosed in the medium-pressure side from the storage means by means of a medium-pressure valve when the low-pressure compressor is switched off.

Test chamber and a method for its control

A temperature chamber for conditioning air includes a temperature-insulated space which receives test material, and a temperature control device for controlling the temperature of the test space. The temperature control device allows a temperature in a range of &#x2212;50&#xb0; C. to +180&#xb0; C. to be established within the space, and has a cooling device including a cooling circuit with a refrigerant, a heat exchanger, a compressor, a condenser, and an expansion element. A jet device is connected to a low-pressure side of the cooling circuit downstream of the heat exchanger and upstream of the compressor, a first bypass is connected to a high-pressure side of the cooling circuit downstream of the compressor, and the refrigerant is suppliable to the jet device from the high-pressure side via the first bypass as a driving fluid.

Temperature chamber and method

A method for conditioning air in a test space of a test chamber which receives test material. A temperature in a range of &#x2212;20&#xb0; C. to +180&#xb0; C. is established within the test space with a cooling device. The cooling device includes a cooling circuit with a refrigerant, a heat exchanger, a compressor, a condenser and an expansion element. An internal heat exchanger of the cooling circuit is connected to a high-pressure side of the cooling circuit upstream of the expansion element and downstream of the condenser and to a low-pressure side of the cooling circuit upstream of the compressor and downstream of the heat exchanger and is used to cool the refrigerant of the high-pressure side. A zeotropic refrigerant is used and the internal heat exchanger is used to cool the refrigerant of the high-pressure side to lower an evaporation temperature at the expansion element.

Air conditioning method and device

A test chamber and a method for conditioning air includes a temperature-insulated test space which can be closed off from the surroundings, and a temperature control device for controlling the temperature of the test space. The temperature control device allows a temperature in a temperature range of &#x2212;20&#xb0; C. to +180&#xb0; C. to be established within the test space, and includes a cooling circuit with a refrigerant, a heat exchanger, a compressor, a condenser, and an expansion element. The cooling circuit has an internal storage device connected to a high-pressure side of the cooling circuit upstream of the expansion element and downstream of the condenser and to a low-pressure side of the cooling circuit upstream of the compressor and downstream of the heat exchanger via a bypass of the cooling circuit. Thermal energy is stored and exchanged with the refrigerant through the internal storage device.
