Automated synchronization

A process for controlling a drive train with an internal combustion engine, a transmission and an automatically actuated brake system. In the event of a defect of the transmission, retardation is effected by means of the automatically actuated brake system in order to avoid impermissibly high speeds in the drive train.

Process of controlling a drive train of a motor vehicle

A method for monitoring the operation of a drive train of a motor vehicle, the drive train including a drive machine, a clutch and an automated transmission, and the drive train having an emergency program, which enables an emergency operation of the drive train even if important control signals such as engine torque, engine speed, transmission speed are missing, where the emergency operation is initiated as soon as one of the following signals is no longer present: engine torque or a substitute value for the engine torque, torque requested by a driver or a substitute for the torque requested by the driver, engine speed, transmission input speed.

Method for monitoring the operation of a drive train

A clutch device, which has at least one clutch, which can assume an open operating state and a closed operating state, in which a torque can be transmitted by the clutch, an actuator device for activating the clutch, and a sensor device, which has a motion sensor. In order to simplify the actuation strategy of the clutch device, the sensor device has an additional sensor, which detects whether the actuator device is in or near an actuator end position in which the clutch is in the open operating state thereof.

Clutch device

The invention relates to a method for controlling an automated friction clutch arranged in a drive train of a motor vehicle between an internal combustion engine and a transmission, and is operated in a travel-controlled manner by means of an actuator controlled by a control unit and transmits a maximum clutch torque while the friction clutch is closed, where an engine's torque provided by the internal combustion engine is reduced when the maximum clutch torque is exceeded and is increased when the maximum clutch torque rises. The engine torque is reduced which corresponds to a reduced transmittable clutch torque when the reduced transmittable clutch torque is detected and is increased to the engine torque corresponding to the maximum transmittable clutch torque after a first time interval expires, where the engine torque is limited by means of a second, longer time interval when a reduced transmittable clutch torque is detected.

Method for controlling an automated friction clutch

A method for the protection of an automatically actuated clutch of a vehicle from overload, comprising the steps of determining a driving situation of the vehicle, continuously determining the energy input in the clutch, and, preventing or reducing an overload state via targeted intervention in vehicle management as a function of the determined driving situation and the input energy.
