There is provided a compound of the formula (I) wherein R1 is an alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl group containing x carbon atoms, wherein x is from 1 to 10, wherein one of R2 and R3 is an alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl group containing y carbon atoms, wherein y is from 1 to 10, wherein the other of R2 and R3 is a branched group of the formula (II) wherein q is from 0 to 3, wherein each R5 is independently selected from &#x2014;OH and &#x2014;O&#x2014;C(O)&#x2014;R4, wherein n is from 10 to 20 and m is selected from 2n-q, 2n-2-q, 2n-4-q, and 2n-6-q, wherein each R4 is independently selected from alkyl, alkenyl and alkynyl groups containing z carbon atoms, wherein z is from 7 to 21, wherein z is different to at least one of x and y. 

Glycerol esters

There is provided composition comprising i) a thermoplastic polymer ii) a compound having the formulawherein R, Rand Rare independently selected from an acyl group or a hydrogen atom, wherein at least one of R, Rand Ris an acyl group (a short acyl group) having from 2 to 6 carbon atoms, wherein at least one of R, Rand Ris a branched chain acyl group (a long acyl group) consisting of a saturated chain having 10 to 20 carbon atoms and a hydrophilic branch group.

Composition

There is provided use of an anti-static composition for the manufacture of a polymer composition; wherein the anti-static composition comprising at least a first component and a second component; wherein the first or second component inhibits the crystallization of the other respective component; wherein at least the other respective component is an anti-static component; and wherein the anti-static composition is contacted with a polymer to form the polymer composition; with the proviso that if the anti-static composition consists solely of composition I and composition II, the anti-static composition is prepared by any one of: (i) integrated blending; or (ii) dry blending.

A protecting device (1) for transparencies (8) intended for overhead projection and pivotably mounted about a swivel pin (9) in the protecting device (1) is provided in the form of an unfoldable file. This file comprises a bottom cover (2) shaped as a rectangular frame with a transparent window (5) and comprising side members (6,7) secured thereto and situated at opposing rim portions. The swivel pin (9) is mounted in one side of the frame, preferably adjacent one corner of the frame, and in such a manner that it extends substantially perpendicular from said frame. The transparencies (8) are provided with a gripping register (10a, b, c) and are collated in a swivel cover (11) so as to be turned out individually, said swivel cover being pivotably mounted about the swivel pin. As a result, the protecting device can also be used as an easily operatable and detached presentation device which can be moved on the working surface of the overhead projector during the presentation, and whereby the transparencies (8) can be projected in any combination and sequence at the same time as they are always well protected in the device.

Protecting device for transparencies

A protecting device (1) for transparencies (8) intended for overhead projection and pivotably mounted about a swivel pin (9) in the protecting device (1) is provided in the form of an unfoldable file.
