Systems and methods for using a liquid jet apparatus for dental treatments are disclosed. In one implementation, the liquid jet apparatus may include a handpiece configured to deliver a high velocity liquid jet to a desired location in the mouth of a patient. The handpiece may include a positioning member having a channel through or along which the jet can propagate. The positioning member may have a distal end portion configured to be at least partially disposed in a pulp cavity, canal space, or opening in the tooth under treatment. During operation, the jet may impact an impingement surface of the distal end portion of the positioning member and be deflected as a spray through one or more openings in the distal end portion. The liquid jet apparatus may be used for root canal treatments.

Liquid jet apparatus and methods for dental treatments

Examples of apparatus, methods, and compositions for endodontic treatments are described. The apparatus can include a fluid platform configured to substantially retain fluid in a tooth chamber during treatment. The fluid platform can help maintain fluid circulation in the tooth chamber as fluid flows into and out of the tooth chamber. The apparatus can also include a pressure wave generator configured to generate acoustic waves that can be used for cleaning root canals and tooth surfaces in the tooth chamber. Examples of pressure wave generators include a liquid jet, an electromagnetic energy delivery device, and an ultrasonic device. The fluid can include antiseptic or antibacterial solutions to assist in tooth cleaning. The fluid may be degassed to have a reduced dissolved gas content (compared to non-degassed fluids used in endodontic treatments), which may improve the effectiveness of the pressure wave generation or the cleaning.

Apparatus, methods, and compositions for endodontic treatments

Systems and methods are provided for database scheduling. Scheduling entries are created and stored in a central database and an entity's database. In response to a user request to view the availability of the entity, a scheduling system can retrieve the scheduling data of an entity from the central database. The scheduling database system attempts to connect to an entity to propagate a scheduling entry in near time. If a connection to the entity from the scheduling database system can be made, the system updates the entity's database in near time. However, an attempted connection may have a fail status due to network issues and/or a VPN connection being unavailable. If a connection is unavailable, the updated scheduling data is propagated via a synchronization process. In the scheduling database system, a scheduling entry in the central scheduling database includes a synchronization status that marks the scheduling entry for future propagation. A synchronization status is set in the entities' database(s) to mark an entry for synchronization purposes. The scheduling database system permits double booking.

Apparatus and methods for endodontic treatment of teeth provide effective cleaning of organic material (such as pulp and diseased tissue) from the root canal system. In an embodiment, a compressor system generates high pressure liquid (e.g., water) that flows through an orifice to produce a high-velocity collimated jet of liquid. The high-velocity jet is directed toward a surface of a tooth, for example, an exposed dentinal surface, and impingement of the jet onto the surface generates an acoustic wave that propagates throughout the tooth. The acoustic wave effectively detaches organic material from dentinal surfaces and tubules. The detached organic material is flushed from the root canal system by the liquid jet and/or by additional irrigation.

Apparatus and methods for treating root canals of teeth

A dental apparatus is disclosed. The dental apparatus can comprise a pressure wave generator to be disposed at a treatment region of a tooth. The pressure wave generator can include an opening to deliver a flowable filling material to the treatment region. The apparatus can include a reservoir for supplying the filling material to the pressure wave generator. The pressure wave generator can be configured to generate pressure waves through the treatment region to cause the filling material to substantially fill the treatment region.

Apparatus and methods for filling teeth and root canals

A curable mixture and method of using the mixture are disclosed. In some embodiments, the mixture comprises a water soluble acrylate-based monomer, a water-soluble acrylamide-based monomer, or a mixture thereof, and has properties suitable for use as a tooth filling after curing.

Hydrogel materials for obturation

Various apparatus and methods for cleaning teeth and gingival pockets are disclosed herein. A fluid platform can include a pressure wave generator configured to propagate pressure waves through a treatment fluid. The pressure waves may be sufficient to remove undesirable dental deposits from a treatment tooth, neighboring gums, and/or spaces between the tooth and gums.

Apparatus and methods for cleaning teeth and gingival pockets

Various systems, method, and compositions for treating a tooth are disclosed herein. For example, an apparatus for treating a tooth is disclosed. The apparatus can include a chamber having an access port which places the chamber in fluid communication with a treatment region of the tooth when the chamber is coupled to tooth. A fluid motion generator can be coupled to the chamber. The fluid motion generator can be configured to direct fluid across the access port to generate fluid motion in the chamber. In various embodiments, fluid motion (e.g., vortices, swirl, etc.) can be induced at or near treatment regions of the tooth, such as a root canal or carious region.

Apparatus and methods for cleaning teeth and root canals

Various embodiments for cleaning carious regions of a tooth are disclosed herein. For example, a dental apparatus can include a fluid platform having a chamber sized and shaped to retain fluid. The chamber can be configured to be coupled to the tooth over the carious region. A pressure wave generator having a distal end may be configured to be positioned in the chamber. The pressure wave generator may be configured to generate pressure waves in the retained fluid sufficient to clean the carious region.

Apparatus and methods for cleaning teeth

In some embodiments, a method for removing a foreign object from a root canal of a tooth is disclosed. The method can include positioning a fluid generator to be in fluid communication with the root canal of the tooth. Fluid can be supplied to the root canal. The method can include generating fluid motion and/or pressure waves in the fluid in the root canal with the fluid motion generator. The foreign object can be removed from the root canal with the pressure waves and/or the fluid motion.

Systems and methods for removing foreign objects from root canals

An apparatus for treating a tooth or gum tissue is disclosed. The apparatus can include a tooth cap for supporting a treatment device during a treatment procedure. The tooth cap can comprise a platform to support the treatment device. The platform can include an access port to provide a portion of the treatment device with access to a treatment region of the tooth or gum tissue. The tooth cap can also include a wall coupled with and angled relative to the platform, the wall configured to be attached to the tooth or gum tissue during treatment.
