The present disclosure relates to a needle extraction syringe () for extracting fluid and/or tissue comprising: a barrel () having a proximal lumen (); and a distal lumen () for collecting aspirated fluid/tissue; a plunger () having a plunger head () sealingly engaged inside the barrel (); and a plunger body () with an internal channel (); a valve () located between the plunger head () and a distal end of the syringe inside the barrel (), separating the proximal lumen () and the distal lumen () such that air can only flow from the distal lumen () to the proximal lumen () in a first valve configuration; a sealing element () located inside the barrel () proximal to the plunger head (), wherein the plunger head () and the sealing element () define a vacuum chamber () having a variable volume therebetween, wherein the vacuum chamber () and the internal channel () are fluidly disconnected in relation to each other in a first configuration of the syringe and fluidly connected in a second configuration of the syringe.

Biopsy syringe

A sample collecting device for collecting samples of cellular material includes an outer tubular member, an inner tubular member and a swab having a tip. At least one guiding element supports and slidably arranges the swab in the inner tubular member such that there is a free space around the swabbing tip. A flexible valve is arranged at a distal end of the outer tubular member. In a storage configuration, the valve is closed and seals the distal end of the outer tubular member. In a sampling configuration, the valve is open such that the swab is slidable to extend through the distal end of the outer tubular member without contacting the valve. A swab kit for collecting and storing samples of cellular material from body cavities includes a sample collecting device and a sealable container adapted to receive and store at least a part of the sample collecting device.

The present invention relates to a suction device. The suction device comprises an attachment portion adapted to be attached to a wound cover member. The suction device comprises a fluid inlet which is at least partially circumscribed by the attachment portion. The suction device also comprises a fluid outlet. The suction device further comprising a connection portion adapted to, at least during one operation condition of the suction device, provide a fluid communication between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The connection portion comprises an inspection portion that is transparent to thereby facilitate the positioning of the suction device relative to the wound cover member.
