Channel switchover power multiplexer circuits, and methods of operating the same are disclosed. An example power multiplexer a first transistor coupled to a first input, a second transistor coupled to the first transistor to couple a first voltage at the first input to an output, a third transistor coupled to a second input, a fourth transistor coupled to the third transistor to couple a second voltage at the second input to the output, a diode amplifier to provide a third voltage to a gate of the first transistor to block a reverse current, and a soft-start amplifier to provide a fourth voltage to a gate of the fourth transistor to turn on (with adjustable VOUT ramp rate) the fourth transistor with a constant ramp rate.

Channel switchover power multiplexer circuits, and methods of operating the same

An apparatus, system and method for asynchronously reducing power in a power domain. In one embodiment, the method includes: (1) receiving a sleep command for the power domain, (2) receiving, upon receiving the sleep command, an affirmative retention status signal denoting that a retention area in the power domain has stored data, (3) receiving, upon receiving the sleep command, an affirmative isolation status signal that denotes that an isolation of the power domain has occurred and (4) providing a power domain off command to the power domain upon receiving at least the sleep command, the affirmative status retention signal and the affirmative status isolation signal. In another embodiment, multiple enable signals are employed to generate a 'glitch-free' control for a power switch.

Apparatus, system and method of power state control

A digitizer with increased dynamic range is provided by applying varying gains/attenuations to an input signal and feeding the resulting scaled signals to several conventional analog-to-digital converters to be digitized. The digitized version of the largest scaled signal which does not result in its respective analog-to-digital converter from saturating is selected by a multiplexer to be fed through as the digitizer output. Each of the gains(attenuations) differ by multiples of approximately 6 dB, since one bit in an ADC represents this value. The multiplexer outputs a digital sample size which is larger than that of the analog-to-digital converters and with the selected digitized version being output as the appropriate subset of the larger sample size to account for the gain(attenuation) of the selected signal. Preferably, this is used in a wideband receiver to increase the dynamic range of the receiver.
