This invention relates to an additive capable of increasing the gasoline octane (by 2-3 units) with minimum loss of gasoline. More specifically, the present invention discloses a fluid catalytic cracking additive composition capable of enhancing gasoline octane, said composition comprising 5-50 wt. % zeolite component, 0-15 wt % alumina, 5-20 wt % colloidal silica, 10-60 wt % kaolin clay, 5-15 wt % phosphate, and 0.1 to 5.0 wt. % of bivalent metal selected from Group-IIA or Group-IB, wherein the zeolite component comprises of medium pore pentasil zeolite in an amount of 1 to 50 wt. % and said zeolite consists of one or more MFI topology zeolite having SiO/AlOmole ratio in the range of 10-280. The present invention also discloses a process for preparation of the additive.

Fluid catalytic cracking additive composition for enhancing gasoline octane barrel and a process of preparation thereof

The present invention relates to catalyst product, a method of making a catalyst and its use in fluid catalytic conversion process. In particular, this invention relates to a process for the preparation of CO-combustion promoter microspheres, comprising a large crystallite low surface area alumina; a composite binder comprising nano-crystallite alumina and dispersant; and platinum or palladium or both. The large crystallite low surface area alumina is bound together by the composite binder in the said particulate composition.

The present invention provides a catalyst product comprising of (a) porous acidic clay material and (b) binder and matrix to shape the catalyst to either microspheres, pellet, tablet, extrudate and ring and suitable for enhancing the crack-ability of heavy feed material derived from atmospheric and vacuum distillation bottoms; FCC bottoms, coker bottoms and hydrocracker bottoms. The present invention relates to a Cracking Catalyst composition for cracking of heavy hydrocarbon feed stocks and process for preparing the catalyst. The catalyst is prepared by incorporating 1-10 wt % phosphate treated USY zeolite in which phosphate is present in the range of 10 to 50 wt % on the basis of phosphated zeolite, in a mixture of 10-50 wt % dispersible alumina, 0-30 wt % non-dispersal alumina, 5-30 wt % colloidal silica, 15-50 wt % clay and 5-15 wt % phosphate.

A composition of a value added RFCC catalyst and a process of preparation of a composition for a dual function additive catalyst from a spent catalyst are disclosed. The value added spent FCC catalyst offers improved performance, options such as either employing as an additive for passivation of both vanadium and nickel and enhancing catalytic activity, for initial start-up or make-up for attrition losses. The value addition process does not harm any of physical properties of starting material with respect to ABD, attrition index, surface area and particle size distribution. Value added catalyst can be used in a range from 1-99 wt % in fluid catalytic cracking process in which, feeds may have higher metals and carbon.
