The present invention relates to an enema device comprising a delivery container arranged for accommodating an enema and an applicator nozzle for dispersing the enema, and wherein the delivery container is arranged as a hand held pump and for remaining in an at least partly compressed configuration when the user releases the pressure on said delivery container during use. Thereby is provided a simple, inexpensive and essentially maintenance free enema device which can be used for self-administrating of an enema.

An accessory separate from and attachable to an adhesive body side member of an ostomy appliance is disclosed. The accessory includes a proximal surface that is attachable to a distal side of the adhesive body side member and a distal surface opposite from and connected to the proximal surface. The accessory has a pocket formed between the proximal surface and the distal surface of the accessory, with an opening formed to communicate with the pocket, and manipulable material disposed in the pocket. The manipulable material is adapted to be displaced out of the pocket through the opening and is adapted to absorb stoma moisture to prevent the stoma moisture from reaching an adhesive of the adhesive body side member to effectively increase a wear time of the adhesive body side member.

An adhesive ostomy wafer has a liner removed to expose adhesive and thus ready the adhesive ostomy wafer for adhesion to a user. The adhesive ostomy wafer includes a backing layer providing a distal surface of the adhesive ostomy wafer that is oriented to face away from skin of the user during use, an adhesive layer deposited onto the backing layer, with the adhesive layer providing a proximal surface of the adhesive ostomy wafer, an opening formed through the backing layer and the adhesive layer, with the opening adapted to fit around a stoma of the user, and a reinforcement structure located between the distal surface and the proximal surface of the adhesive ostomy wafer.

The ostomy receiving bag comprises a front wall () and a rear wall and has a top end and a bottom end. The top end of the rear wall is provided with an inlet to receive a stoma, and one wall is provided with at least one first half of a fixation pair (A), and the same effective wall after closure of the bag, if available, is provided with at least one second half of a fixation pair (B), such that when the first half and the second half of the fixation pair are attached, the volume of the receiving bag is reduced.

A convex shell for use in a base plate of an ostomy appliance includes an annular ring defined by an outer edge and an inner edge of defining a through-going hole. The annular ring has at least four transition sections extending transversely across the annular ring, dividing the annular ring into at least a first, second, third and fourth segment. By changing the characteristics of the convex shell in such sections, it is possible to control the bending of the shell. The shell also makes it possible to keep the area around the stoma more stable and resistant towards collapsing, while providing improved flexibility in the peristomal area for better comfort.

An ostomy receiving bag includes front and rear walls sealed along a rim of the bag and a cover sheet attached to the bag. The bag has a lateral midline located between an upper end of the bag and a bottom end of the bag, with an inlet opening nearer to the upper end than to the bottom end of the bag. The cover sheet is attached to the upper end of the bag at the rim and covers at least part of one of the walls to form a pocket and an unattached edge between the upper end of the bag and the bottom end of the bag. A collecting volume of the bag is reduced by at least 25% when the bottom end of the bag is placed under the cover sheet to a position between the lateral midline and the upper end of the bag.

A disposable ostomy receiving bag having front and rear walls sealed together along the rim thereof and having a top end and a bottom end, and a cover of a sheet material covering one or both surfaces of the bag and only secured to the wall along the part of the rim being superimposed on the sealed rim of the front and rear walls. The bottom end can be folded to reduce the size of the bag, with the folded end discreetly hidden under the cover sheet. Should a larger collecting volume be needed, unfolding of the bag allows for an easy enlargement of the active volume of the bag simply by withdrawing the end of the bag from under the cover sheet.
