In one embodiment, a controller instructs agent processes to monitor for instances of particular types of interactions, each defined by a type of context entity within an interaction instance and one or both of a type of head entity sourcing an interaction instance and a type of tail entity as a destination of an interaction instance. The controller may then receive interaction objects from plurality of agent processes, each containing an identification of a respective interaction instance matching one of particular types of interactions, each respective interaction instance identifying, as components of each respective interaction instance, a particular context entity and one or both of a particular head entity and a particular tail entity. The controller may then index the components of each respective interaction instance, establish relationships between the indexed components according to each respective interaction instance, store the indexed components and established relationships, and generate reports based thereon.

A system performs load balancing. The system receives a protocol message by a load balancer in communication with a distributed system comprising a server cluster. The system determines a cluster member to process the protocol message, where the cluster member is a member of the server cluster configured to own a state corresponding to the protocol message. The system then forwards the protocol message to the cluster member.

In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for real-time communication signaling between HTML5 endpoints and between HTML5 endpoints and the IMS Core of a telecommunication network. In an embodiment the system includes a WebRTC Session Controller (WSC) communicating over an Internet domain protocol with a client-side controller. The WSC terminates web communications with the client-side, parses, and normalizes the Web communications into an internal protocol suitable for communication with telecommunications network systems. The client-side controller provides a JavaScript API that encapsulates the signaling aspect of a communication session of the HTML5 application, including gathering media description, establishing signaling channels, and exchanging media descriptions with the WSC, populating the relevant WebRTC objects, managing the call after it has been established. The JavaScript API thereby simplifies development and implementation of real-time communication in Web applications.

A system provides a media relay for real-time communications ('RTC'). The system receives, by a signaling server, a first signaling message from a first client including one or more first candidate transport addresses of the first client. The system generates a modified first signaling message by inserting a transport address of a relay server into the first signaling message, and transmits the modified first signaling message to a second client. Then, the system receives a second signaling message from the second client including one or more second candidate transport addresses of the second client. The system generates a modified second signaling message by inserting the transport address of the relay server into the second signaling message, and transmits the modified second signaling message to the first client.

In accordance with various embodiments, systems and methods are provided which facilitate composing a telecommunication application by orchestrating application components. Embodiments of the invention enhance the use of simplified programming constructs for user activities in a telecommunications network providing an invocation manager which invokes event functions in an order identified by an orchestrator. The orchestrator holds all specified event functions each with trigger chance and priority value. The event functions can be defined in Communication Beans with annotations and may be updated and selected by an XML file.

System and method for composing a telecommunication application by orchestrating application components

A system performs Real-Time Communications ('RTC'). The system establishes a signaling channel between a browser application and a rich communications services ('RCS') endpoint. The system then queries RCS capabilities of the RCS endpoint via the signaling channel, and initiates the RTC between the browser application and the RCS endpoint via the signaling channel.

System and method for extending IP multimedia subsystem to HTML5 environments

A system performs client wake up for real-time communications ('RTC'). The system closes a connection between a gateway and an RTC application of a device. The RTC application enters a sleeping mode when the connection to the gateway is closed. After closing the connection, the system receives a message intended for the RTC application. The system requests a push notification server to wake up the RTC application, reconnects the gateway with the RTC application, and delivers the message to the RTC application.

Resource management for WebRTC

In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for programming server-side real-time web communication applications. A JAVA application programming interface (API) is provided for web application developers to write JAVA applications on a server to control, manage, and mediate HTML5 endpoints that communicate with the JAVA applications. Each JAVA application can be a JAVA component that are annotated with a plurality of JAVA objects provided by the JAVA API, wherein the plurality of JAVA objects can also establish communication between HTML5 applications endpoints, and holding the state of the communication. The container can integrate with other enterprise technologies such as JMS and enable the JAVA applications to integrate with applications and services exposed by other providers, e.g., FACEBOOK. The JAVA API can be used to write applications that can connect with legacy IMS systems and services using existing JAVA APIs such as SIP servlet.

Java API for programming web real-time communication applications

The present invention provides a system and method for real-time communication signaling between HTML5 endpoints and between HTML5 endpoints and the IMS Core of a telecommunications network. System and method for providing simplified programming constructs for user activities in a telecommunications application

A system performs authentication for real-time communications (RTC). The system receives a request from a browser application for web authentication of a user. The system then performs the web authentication by a security provider by reaching a first resource, where the security provider determines a security principal for the user. Subsequently, the system executes a security Groovy script to obtain an identity mapping from a second resource different than the first resource, where the identity mapping maps the security principal to an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) identity. The system then provides the identity mapping to a runtime Groovy script.

Authentication interworking in communications networks

In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system for real-time communication signaling protocol for use in a telecommunication network and communication in web-only Internet. The protocol facilitates adapting complex signaling on the server-side into simple operations towards the Web. In an embodiment the protocol is used to communicate between a server-side web signaling engine and a client-side communication controller. The client-side communication controller provides a JavaScript API to encapsulate the signaling layer. The web signaling engine includes a controller which terminates communications using the protocol, and normalizes communications into an internal protocol suitable for communication with telecommunications network systems. In an embodiment, the protocol utilizes JSON and a WebSocket connection and can be defined as a WebSocket subprotocol.

Browser/HTML friendly protocol for real-time communication signaling

Techniques for integrating Information Systems with Application Servers are disclosed. The techniques can be used to implement a configurable connector interface that connects to existing interfaces used to access various Information Systems. The configurable connection interface can encapsulate these existing interfaces. Accordingly, the configurable connector interface can serve as a standard interface that can be used to connect an application server to various Information Systems. The configurable connection interface can be implemented as a 'Resource Adaptor' that can be modified to fit the requirements of a particular existing interface used to access a particular information system (e.g., a database driver developed for a particular relational database). A Graphical User Interface (GUI) can be used to conveniently modify and deploy the modified Resource Adaptor file. These operations can conveniently be performed by using a deployment tool through a Graphical User Interface (GUI).

A method for processing a message that includes receiving the message by a plurality of resource adapters (RA). The method includes calculating a selector string using an application instance selection portion of the message, determining whether the selector string calculated by the RA identifies the application instance corresponding to the RA, transmitting the message to the application instance corresponding to the RA when the selector string calculated by the RA identifies the application instance, and discarding the message when the selector string calculated by the RA does not identify the application instance corresponding to the RA, where one RA transmits the message to the application instance corresponding to the RA and the remaining RAs discard the message.
