This application provides a sending device, a receiving device, an optical transmission system, and an optical power control method. The sending device includes a multiplexing unit and an optical power adjustment unit. The multiplexing unit is configured to send at least two communication optical waves to a fiber channel, and is further configured to send or receive at least two detection optical waves through the fiber channel. The optical power adjustment unit is configured to: obtain a power control instruction, where the power control instruction is generated according to power change information between the at least two detection optical waves. The optical power adjustment unit is further configured to perform optical power amplification and/or attenuation on at least one communication optical wave in the at least two communication optical waves according to the power control instruction.

Optical transmission system and optical power control method

A calibration apparatus in a wavelength division multiplexing system includes a sending module configured to send a first detection signal to a first multiplexing device; a receiving module configured to receive the first detection signal that passes through the first multiplexing device, and receive a second detection signal that passes through the first multiplexing device and a second multiplexing device; and a processing module configured to adjust a center frequency of the first detection signal, so that an adjusted center frequency of the first detection signal is aligned with a center frequency of the first multiplexing device, and adjust a center frequency of the second detection signal and the center frequency of the first multiplexing device, so that the center frequency of the first multiplexing device is aligned with the center frequency of the second detection signal.

Calibration apparatus and method, and wavelength division multiplexing system

A dynamic dispersion detecting method and apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus includes a tunable dispersion compensation module (), a demodulator (), a receiver (), a partial band radio frequency power detecting unit (), and an electrical signal ratio calculating unit (). The method includes: demodulating a phase of a received optical signal; converting the demodulated optical signal into an electrical signal; sampling radio frequency power of the electrical signal to obtain an radio frequency signal; obtaining an electrical signal ratio of the radio frequency signal; and comparing a value of a currently detected electrical signal ratio with the values of the previously detected electrical signal ratios, tuning a dispersion compensation value according to a comparison result to find a peak electrical signal ratio, and obtaining a residual dispersion value of a system according to the peak electrical signal ratio.
