A method for determining the equilibrium state of a tensegrity structure includes: determining the critical bending moment that the tensegrity structure bears; calculating the tension of longitudinal tie rods; calculating the pressure of longitudinal compression members; calculating the tensile lengths and the unstressed lengths of the longitudinal tie rods; calculating the compressed lengths and the unstressed lengths of the longitudinal compression members; calculating the forces and the radial deformations of annular compression members; and calculating the positioning lengths and the manufacturing lengths of the longitudinal tie rods and the longitudinal compression members.

Method for determining equilibrium state of tensegrity structure

A method for manufacturing high-purity aluminum hydroxide and alumina material is disclosed, which includes the steps of: reacting aluminum metal with a mixture of organic base and water to form aluminum hydroxide suspension; removing water by filtration to form aluminum hydroxide slurry, and for manufacturing alumina material, further drying/baking the slurry to form aluminum oxide powders. The method is amenable to mass production of high-purity aluminum hydroxide and aluminum oxide containing total silica and non-aluminum metal impurities less than 0.005% and having a bulk density higher than 3.0 g/cc. In addition, the invention also provides high-purity aluminum hydroxide and aluminum oxide prepared by using the method disclosed and bulk products prepared therefrom.

This application discloses methods and processes for preparation of high purity aluminum hydroxide and high purity aluminum oxide. The method of preparing high purity aluminum hydroxide involves reacting aluminum with water in the presence of one or more catalysts and one or more complexing agents that can react with non-aluminum metal impurities to form soluble complexes for effective removal through rinsing.
